Regulator and court actions on the public record
- 16 September 2026: the ACMA announced that Dabble Sports Pty Ltd had paid $1,069,200 in penalties after an investigation found it breached the online gambling self-exclusion (BetStop) rules, and had given a two-year court-enforceable undertaking requiring an independent review of its compliance systems.
- The ACMA found Dabble failed to close 157 wagering accounts after the holders registered with BetStop, sent 165 self-excluded people 839 electronic messages (SMS, email and push notifications), and sent 45 customers more than 2,000 push notifications without the required BetStop information.
- The ACMA outcomes table records contraventions of subsections 61LA(2) (560 messages), 61LA(4) (279 messages), 61MB(5) (19,750 separate contraventions across 156 accounts), 61MC(5)(e) (367 contraventions, one account), 61MC(5)(f) (one account) and 61JP(5) (2,032 messages) of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001; no contravention of 61KA(3) was found.
- The investigation commenced on 2 July 2025; a notice under the Broadcasting Services Act was issued on 10 July 2025, with Dabble's submissions received between September 2025 and March 2026.
- No NT Wagering Commission complaint or disciplinary decision naming Dabble Sports Pty Ltd appeared on the first page of either decisions table (10 of 52 post-July 2024 entries and 10 of 153 earlier entries); the remaining pages were not read. No ACCC media release naming Dabble was found by web search.

Is Dabble legal in Australia, and who regulates it?
Yes. Dabble is operated by Dabble Sports Pty Ltd (ACN 641 982 425), which appears at row 23 of the Northern Territory Wagering Commission's list of licensed wagering operators and on the ACMA register of licensed interactive gambling providers. Neither list publishes a licence number or expiry. Three spellings of the regulator's name are in use across official sources: NT Wagering Commission, Northern Territory Wagering Commission and Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission.
How do I withdraw from Dabble and how long does it take?
Withdrawals go only by bank transfer to an Australian bank account in your own name, requested in the app from a $5 minimum. Dabble states the first withdrawals are processed by 3:00pm AEST on the same day if requested before then, and that after a number of withdrawals most become Fast Withdrawals received within minutes if the bank supports NPP/OSKO. Fast Withdrawals are unavailable between 11:00pm and 8:30am AEST. Banks without NPP receive funds within 3 working days according to the FAQ. No maximum withdrawal amount is published. Why does Dabble ask for verification, and can I withdraw without it?
No. Dabble states it must verify your identity before you can transact, and its terms allow it to restrict deposits and withdrawals until customer identification is complete. Verification is attempted automatically at sign-up through Equifax and GreenID; if that fails you upload one or sometimes two of an Australian driver's licence, passport or Medicare card in the app. Since 29 September 2024 AUSTRAC requires online gambling providers to complete customer identification before an account is opened or a service provided.
Will Dabble limit or close my account if I win?
Dabble's terms say it may impose limits on an account or on products without providing reasons, and no maximum stake amount is published; the app shows the maximum stake in the bet slip before placement. Account restrictions, limits or closures were mentioned in 13 of the 450 App Store reviews analysed, 12 of them in negative reviews. Those are third-party reports and do not establish how often it happens.
What deposit methods does Dabble accept, and can I use a credit card?

Its privacy policy gives a contact address at Level 1/C106, 19 Kitchener Drive, Darwin City NT 0800. Dabble also runs separate UK and US operations with their own support teams. Shareholders were not part of this research.
Has Dabble been fined or investigated in Australia?
Yes. On 16 September 2026 the ACMA announced that Dabble Sports Pty Ltd had paid $1,069,200 in penalties after an investigation, begun on 2 July 2025, found it failed to close 157 accounts of people registered with BetStop, sent 839 messages to 165 self-excluded people, and sent more than 2,000 push notifications without the required BetStop information. Dabble also gave a two-year court-enforceable undertaking to have its compliance systems independently reviewed. No NT Wagering Commission decision naming Dabble appeared on the first page of the published decisions tables, and no ACCC action was found.
What is the maximum payout on Dabble?
Maximum payouts are set per client per day per sport. For AFL, regular season and finals markets are capped at $50,000, AFLW and AFL pre-season at $10,000, other Australian rules leagues at $5,000, and Brownlow 3-votes markets at $250. Same Game Multis are capped at $20,000 with maximum odds of $2,501, and the terms cap any fixed odds single or multi at $100,000 per individual.
