List changes for 2026

Zach Derksen is now number 6. Hopefully that means he is staying at the club this season.

That is good news, I hope Chaplin’s name reappears.

Out of about 6 or 7 18 year olds added to the list only one over 190cm. Blake Darmody 192cm. Nothing much has changed.

Exactly R&B. We must retain our concessions until large scale zone changes. Claremont would have had 3 or 4 graduate to the senior squad over 190 cm.

Exactly mate, 3 or 4 would be a conservative guess.

Liam McWha added to list on wall site. 21. Former colts player from Subi I think. Played at Wesley most recently.

196cm 21-year-old played 13 Colts games for WP.
Don’t mind giving talls an opportunity pre-season.

He’s been there for several years.

That’s what I thought

Yep.

Welcome ALL for the Pre-Season.

Good Luck, but commiserations if you miss out, because I’m not sure we can fit you all in!

Saw an article today that says we may lose Scoble during the year - YUK!!!

Looks like he is ranked as the top junior in the WAFL

Unless he continues not to Nominate!

My Heart just Bleeds for the AFL,that a good young fella chooses to make them wait!

Bad news unfortunately. Chaplin not coming though they hold out slim hope as he is contracted. In talks with another Victorian. So that’s two talls recruited for 2026 that have bailed already before arriving.

If Tye Kemp was the second, no real loss.
I am very happy with the list knowing that Derksen is staying.
Mind having Chaplin as well would have been a bonus.
Hope the Vic they are trying to lure is a man mountain Ruckman.
Wouldn’t mind betting.

I wouldn’t say Derksen is a lock. He has work/business commitments in NT.

Disappointing to see young Mitchell Keene has also gone off the list recently. He never really came on as we all hoped. He was outstanding in the colts GF in 2023 but didn’t make the jump to league footy in the way others did like Scoble, Callard and Watson.

Derksen is out though I’m told may return if we are hit by injuries. That’s a blow along with Chaplin not returning which could have covered the loss of Derksen. I think cost of living pressures are a factor here. Perth is so ridiculously expensive to live now.

That’s bad news.
Partially counted by Gardiner, whilst he is more a mid-sized forward can take a grab and kick a goal.
Someone said we were chasing another Victorian.
With the recruitment of Dean, Schlensog should play permanently forward.

Interesting stuff. Zac Harding signed, was training with the Dockers before sustaining an injury. 199cm ruckman with a big leap apparently pretty quick. Helps offset the likely loss of Derksen and Chaplin change of mind.

Oh my, why did I think something like this would happen.
Someone at Lathlain is serious about the Phoenix rising.
