Cartwright in, Steed out, presumably to the WA u 18s. Otherwise have kept the faith with last weeks victorious team. Darcy first ruck for Peel so a real learning experience for young Impey and Ernst. Great news as Jye Chalcraft makes his long awaited return in the reserves this week.
Your Rucks should go FULL BORE at Darcy and test him out!
Scerri, Davies and Sharp are the emergencies for the Dockers in Bunbury. The AFL game starts at 12.15. The Swans v Peel game starts at 1.10pm. Its an hours drive between the 2 grounds. I’d say they wouldnt get there in time unless the Dockers released one or all of them an hour before the game. I think the emergencies have to stay until after the warm up in case of any last minute injuries.
If the WAFL game started at 2.30 it might be feasible. I’m surprised that Freo didnt ask for a time change. TV obligations maybe
So what do we all think about tomorrow’s game. Good chance after the way they finished off last week to put hammer down and go. Dont wait till the last quarter. Still not sure our forwards will kick enough goals. Big job for Impey hopefully our mids can get the ball who ever gets the knock. Back line has been strong hopefully they keep that up. Center line and mids can win this game for us. Or hope they can. Anyone got any thoughts.
I’m surprised too, given West Coast were granted,…I kid you not,3 Day and Time changes in a week.
THIS WEEK!
Mr Landsmeer doesn’t appear to be interested in this OUTRAGEOUS,SCANDALOUS Manipulation of the Competition.

Obviously need a lot better start than last week. Mclaughlan should be in the midfield rather than up forward. Darcy may dominate the ruck so our mids need to be aware of this. Our defence should hold up so its a matter of whether we can create enough opportunities for the forwards. I give Swans a chance if we can give 4 quarters of effort
Why does a certain backman whose only skill is to be able to turn it over with both feet keep getting a game, even more so to the exclusion of the likes of Tester and Lynch?
To be fair none of the Swans players have covered themselves in glory this afternoon. 3 goals in 3 quarters on a fine day is pathetic
I thought Swans would have done better. Four scoring shots (only one resulting goal) to half time is a poor effort. When one considers the lovely weather of today. Perhaps the sun got in the players eyes?
Fancy turning up to play that mob and not giving a yelp - physically or mentally!
104 less disposals and yet also laid 7 less tackles is all you need to read to say they didnt give any effort at all apart from Reidy, Bright and one or 2 others!
And no black armbands worn to honour former player Mick Hastie who passed away during the week - not good enough!
Putrid performance today. You let yourself down and your supporters. Again alover after the first quarter. Players should be made to watch that game . If the coach can’t pump them up to start the game what chance have they got. Basic mistakes over and over again. Now facing a pumped up eagels.
Yeah, think we got carried away with the comeback win last week. To kick only 4 goals on a fine day was just putrid. After teasing the supporters last week they have once more slammed the door in our faces. Less possessions and less tackles = lack of effort which is unforgiveable. Some unlikely results over the past few weeks gave Swans a lifeline to maybe resurrect their season if good enough. Clearly they are not good enough
Heard about Mick’s passing today. Way too young was a real character. Obviously played mostly at Swans but finished his career at Perth for 2 or 3 seasons from memory. Remember seeing him singing karaoke at the Girrawheen Tavern well after he finished playing it was hilarious. Loved to take a hanger. RIP Mick and condolences to his family, friends and former teammates.
Maybe they are planning a tribute for Mick at the home game next week BH? Should still have worn black armbands though
I don’t think last week’s win fooled too many, but if there were any delusionists amongst us, today was the proof that Swans’ ‘game plan’ is nonsense. Peel ran in packs and swept the ball forward by old-fashioned backing a teammate up - we relied on kicking to a man that we have shown all season that we do not have the skill to perform. And we continued doing it today despite hitting Peel players on the chest with loose passes - and we’ll maintain that poor standard for the rest of the season.
Swan Districts managed 73 Ball disposals/ Goal and 9.3 Ball disposals Inside 50 M per Goal. Achieved an Offence rate of only 11.3% and a very low mid:field rating of just 0.66. Not going to win anything with figures like that.
So here we are at the half way point of the season. We have a 3-6 record with a Percentage of 82. This time last year we had a 2-7 record with a percentage of 82. Last year we had a slightly better second half of the season (4-5) to finish with 6 wins. Thats where I reckon we will end up again so another year of zero progress
Where do you think the 4 wins will come from Mikeh. I can’t really see us winning any west Perth have improved. Who can we beat seriously.
I think we will win a couple at Bassendean, Maybe an upset or two and despite West Perths improvement I think we are better than them still
That would be a cop out and probably only going to happen when they realise the oversight after reading this thread.
