Why suddenly is Mitchell Woodcock saying in the Worst that Fremantle can play up to 14 players in their reserves side, otherwise known as Peel Thunder? If that’s the case that makes them beatable. Clownsend and others have been saying according to the rules Fremantle can play up to 17 or as many as they like if Fremantle are playing finals on the same weekend.
Will be interesting to hear Clowno’s take on it tomorrow night he hates being wrong especially if proven to be so by a journo from his former employer.

I have woken today and read the Sundry Times that Peel will have access to 14 AFL listed players. I am sorry but this is a farcical situation where either Us or the Tiggers have to play what is essentially an VFL team. I think today is the GF and we should all treat it as such.
This is not an indictment of EP or CL but seriously they are FT players, they get paid bucket loads and do they really care about the [WAFL]

If Fremantle win through to the AFL Grand Final,it’s been been his belief,that they can stack Peel Carte Blanche,as far as they can go!
And the Rules wouldn’t matter,if the WAFC given them the Green Light to do so in their quest for an AFL Flag,let alone a WAFL Flag.
However,did Woodcock quote Brad Wira and establish that only 14 Fremantle players can play for Peel next Sunday?
From memory Grassy we beat a 13 man Fremantle listed Peel team in Mandurah in round 3. Has Wira (WAFC) stepped in to put a cap on it to prevent a total outcry against this bullshit set up?

Whether we could do it now,is a moot point,as we just couldn’t get over the line last week.

14 is the unofficial hand shake agreed amount of Freo players Peelmantle will play in their League team on any given week, up from 12 only a year or so ago. But they have played 15 on occasions this season!
We did beat an Eagles side with 17 listed players,but as I’ve previously said it’s quality over quantity,and although Peel don’t have players in the Chris Lewis Don Pyke class,they have a few Dockers that are too dominant at WAFL level.

Difference is RL WC top up players are nowhere near the level of say Peels top 10 and that they have been allowed to recruit top line interstate recruits like Tardrew and Wade Derksen since the alignment.
WC are a legitimate AFL reserves side playing in the WAFL and so should Fremantle be. Then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Mind you Fremantle would probably have fielded a pretty good reserves side this year topped up with WAFL has beens and fringe players and ammos like WC do because they’ve had a dream run this year with injuries, but would be nowhere near as dominant.

If nothing else, it seems that the aggro now appears to have been taken off East Perth’s 2000 and 2001 much less AFL enhanced Premierships. Or at least greatly reduced.

Well the half dozen interstaters we had like Kane Munro,humm,Antonowicz and Co,weren’t exactly elite.
