2026 wafl finals series

We’ve arrived to Finals Time,after the long haul of Home and Away Games,a State Game and 2 Byes each.

However we think our Club went,the Final 5 for each Competition is set.No more coulda,woulda,shoulda arguments,…Home and Away Games are DONE!

So,the following Games will take place on Saturday and Sunday in near perfect weather.Only the AFL Circus to be distracted by at 5.35PM.

Sunday
League Elimination Final
SOUTH FREMANTLE v EAST PERTH Fremantle Oval 2.10PM
Reserves Elimination Final
PEEL THUNDER v WEST PERTH 11.25AM
Colts Elimination Final
SUBIACO v WEST PERTH 8.50AM.

Book your Tickets early for Claremont Oval.Not sure they can get much more in the ground than 4 500.

PS - If you’re heading to Fremantle from about Leederville heading South,best be mindfull of Roadblocks,due to the Annual City to Surf Fun Run.

Not sure fans can stand behind the Goals at the Southern Railway End,mind you.

some great weather in prospect for both games on the weekend. They should both be competitive games. East Perth will bounce back but may not have enough to beat a South team that is starting to run in to a bit of form at the right end of the season. Claremont and Perth will be a great battle I reckon. The Tigers were beaten in the QF last year at home and I think there is every chance that it will happen again. A great opportunity for the Demons to progress to a 2nd semi final . The last time they played in one of these was 1978!

One overlooked possibility is if Perth lose the Qualifying Final(gawd forbid),the 1st Semi at Lathlain would have to be played on Saturday,due to an Eagles Home AFLW Game on Sunday.

Then the week after,they play at Lathlain on Saturday,which wouldn’t matter anyway,given the WAFL Preliminary Final is on a Sunday.

League and Colts Fixtures set for the 2nd week of Finals.

Just waiting on today’s Reserves Game to see which Teams head to Peel and whichTeams are at Lathlain.

If Peel Win,they will take Perth down South to play at Rushton Park.Swans will play East Perth at Lathlain.

If West Perth Win,they will join their Colts at Lathlain,to then play Perth.Swans and East Perth will play at Rushton Park.

It might be possible for 2 Reserves Finals to be played at one venue and 2 Colts Finals at the other,but I don’t think that will happen somehow.

PS - I Should have guessed the Football Commission would pull a STUNT on Fixturing like they did.

Better financially for us then if Peel win and EP play Swans in the reserves curtain raiser at Lathlain. Will be a much better crowd and the Swannies supporters will stay. Obviously EP supporters will be there anyway if they win today.

Don’t know about that,given I would rather we keep our teams together,than have them split far apart.
