The Worst Australian paper (digital version) states Jones WAS reported. I’ll wait to see what happens during the week. There was definately no malice on Jones’ part, as shown on variuos replays.

I thought Sunday’s victory over South was pretty special, but this one has trumped it.
I was convinced that the final siren would sound as yet another pack formed inside EP’s congested attacking 50.
However, trailing by 13 points at three-quarter-time and coming off a six-day break, plus with four key players missing through injury from the side that beat the Bulldogs, the boys showed a heart as big as Phar Lap’s to conjure an unlikely victory.
Sam van Diemen has kicked some great goals in the past, and his goal from the boundary in the first quarter was a ripper, but the one he kicked in the dying seconds to win the game will become part of Royals folklore.
The Demons were gallant and probably looked slicker throughout the day, but they will rue missing their chances to put the Royals away in the third quarter, including a 13-minute block when they kicked 4.4 to zilch.
I was sure we were done at 3qtr time but this team doesnt give up..that was a massive win and Kuek was huge last qtr..that goal by Sammy was ridiculous..I love this club

Quiet game from him RL, but he showed a little in the last few minutes. But replacing proven league players with him last week may have led to a couple of disgruntled players, and maybe some departures next season along with Axel
Unlikely mate..if you know any of the league squad boys and how close they are, you would know we dont lose players we dont want to lose and thats been proven over the past few years unless they want to head back home, noting, the club knew that a player like mitch crowden would only ever be here for 2 years as his whole family is in SA
Fair enough mate obviously I don’t as I’m a Subi supporter. I think Bunts did something similar in a granny with Glenn O’Loughlin and we won
Its always a hard call though with the walsh call but he was the best choice as Jones isnt 100% plus he can go forward…ur boys will be pushing next year for the finals, no doubt

Fantastic viewing today, thought East Perth looked gone and then they rallied . that last Qrt kicking 2 early and then the never say die attitude right until the last minute and wow what a goal, you had players out and as JT was saying gravity was against you, hard running and leadership, and you do tend to finish strong. Great win.

Jones should get 3 weeks was a straight out coathanger totally avoidable he came straight across Dean who straight-lined the ball for a mark. If that’s not minimum 3 weeks that’s a joke. Peake suddenly changed direction and Parfitts’ was a reflex action to stick out the hand was nothing more than an open hand across the face. He should get off with a reprimand at worst.
That was the game right there after we lost Charlie Dean for the game. Was about the 23 minute mark of the first qtr so Jones blue card only meant he missed the rest of the first qtr. He should have been made to sit out the rest of the game.

Sounds like wont be an issue with Parfitt in terms of suspension as rumored to be leaving dees at end of season and Constable a chance also to go. Schenslong, apologies if misspelled, is also rumored to be playing elsewhere.
Dont shoot the messenger mate but it was discussed on sportfm after today’s game.
Watched Jones replay, should be ok but with Dean concussed, wont be easy to get off.
Schlensog and Constable are contracted until the end of 2027 if I’m correct. Charlie has a very good job and Schlenga as well on the tools. Yeh Parfitt not confident about but in all honesty we need bigger bodies. I believe Charlie, Schlensog and Clarke points reduce by half next year.

Even though I was a Demon for a day and was disappointed that they lost, I have to say that I admired the way East Perth hung in there when the game seemed to be going against them, particularly in the 3rd quarter when Perth had all the momentum ( although Perth wasted a number of opportunities to be further in front)
I remember thinking back in July when Swans beat an injury ravaged Royals at Bassendean that they would struggle to make finals. On the last day of the qualifying round, Subiaco were 50 points in front at half time and were going to tip EP out of the five, but they lifted and reduced the margin so that their percentage went ahead of Subiacos. Even then they had to wait nervously for an hour to make sure of their spot as West Coast were challenging Claremont. Then an away victory against last years premiers followed by a miracle last minute goal to qualify for a preliminary final
Reads like a fairy tale (dare I say 1978?). From the outside looking in these players seem to be united in a mission, I would say that it has a lot to do with the disappointments of the last two years. Now you guys have come this far, I hope you can go all the way. History says that 5th placed teams don’t win flags but that may be another incentive for them
I also must say that I understand why you have been raving about young Walsh. His coolness and composure in the last few minutes yesterday belied his youth

The tragedy about Axel is,East Perth won’t see him after this year,no thanks to the ever present tentacles of AWFUL HOUSE!
There is a way out for Jonesy.
If it worked for Schofield’s Lawyers,it should work for East Perth’s,when cross examining the Umpires.
That may not make it right doing that to the Umps,but it might force the Blinking Football Commission in a "supposed"review of Football,to make the WAFL Tribunal more Transparent and Open in it’s operation and up for Public Scrutiny.
You lot want to mirror the AFL right,…doesn’t always seem that way.
I slowed the incident down and froze the point of impact and the ball,head and spoiling arm were all in close proximity,and I don’t believe it was intentional but it will be probably be deemed reckless,and the way the penalties are framed I’m afraid Jonesy will probably be rubbed out,particularly when the contact has caused a concussion,but i fervently hope that I am wrong.

Not sure who it is but if it was Mr Percy, I agree and he will definitely get off…great call MikeH about the boys being united, they have a strong bond from previous years but if Jonesy is out, I dont know how we can beat the handbaggers
