VAR system

What do people think of the introduction of the VAR system? It is a bloody nightmare for the back four.

Personally I don’t mind it.
It is there to assist the ref. As long as people remember it is like an assistance tool to help. The fear will be it starts being over used which will kill the game. From what I’ve seen, soccer referees do a good job. However being a fast paced sport, there’s bound to be incorrect referee decisions made sometimes. Which can’t be helped due to the ref being in a blind spot, maybe some distance from the action, sometimes players are trying to fool the umpire in awarding free kicks etc. If the the VAR isn’t
used in the wrong way, should all be good. The umpire is in charge of the match, but the technology can certainly help.

westaussieguy – fair enough too --a couple of weeks ago West Ham U., had to settle for a draw in a game by a ‘boot stud’ in a review of an off-side decision. You would not call the original decision a bad one because it was so close, but as you said WAG, the correction went down okay with the crowd.
