Poor Maddinson. It was so painful to watch a guy who was clearly not up to it. Didnt even give him a bat in the warm up. Totally set up to fail.

Thing is mikeh, Davies actually isn’t an opening red ball batsman, usually bats 5 or 6 memory. Yesterday’s knock for the young fella was a great feat…actually doubled his entire 25/26 shield aggregate in that one knock…only scored 120 odd from 9 innings last year…so one can only hope he can continue and take his game to another level. Though the Baggy blue haters won’t want that to happen I guess.
