Tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa

Not sure how it’s anyone’s fault bar their own, why the next generation, or apparent missed generation of Aust batting prospects have sub 40 batting averages in first class cricket.

Spot on Freeze, David Warner was a good batsman full stop, he got his start in T20 but he wasnt just a big bash slogger.

Im not sure Tim David could carry Warner’s bag to the ground as a batsman!

The Australian batting line up has been to some extent shielded by the consistently high performance of the bowlers and in Englands case last season their complete incompetence.

Hope Im wrong but I have a horrible feeling that the batting short comings are going to be ruthlessly exposed by a disciplined South African attack. Remember how the batsmen struggled a few months ago against a modest at best Bangladesh attack. Now we are missing Cam Green who was the best performer in that series

Can anyone tell me who in SA top six has a test ave of 40+…could be a bowlers series from looking at the stats of both sides top 6 then.

Bease, David is only 30, so technically he should be right in his prime as a batsman…so not all hope is lost yet for David and his test prospects…though the way he bats, 2 day tests would probably stretch his patience

he is making to much money playing around the world

goes shape of a Pear in Durban 1st Test

maybe purchase a plane ticket for Jack Clayton

Green out

won’t bowl again this series

no timeline

or anything really

Therefore, shouldn’t play at all this Series, not being fully fit.

Big blow for his advancement in Test Cricket.

SA pick 2 spinners…wonder if Aust follow suit?

of cause we wont Freeze will go with 3 quicks on a wicket that wont offer them much and hope webster. head and sparebuschange can back Lyon up

Interested to see how Lyon goes on a pitch that is being talked up as a turning track!

The 39yo’s form of late is concerning…

Looks like Connelly has some sort of illness and he is in doubt for the test obviously increasing the chances of Maddinson playing

There you go, Maddinson faced the first ball of the series. Renshaw at 5

I think we are all confused @mikeh

that is just ridiculous

Renshaw is the pure opener we’ve been looking for

Head should be at 5 with that lunacy

Maddinson didn’t even get a crack in the warm-up

here we go

When you have 2 clowns running the show what more would you expect???

We all know that “Ronald” McDonald is one. Who is the other Beas?
