Leigh Kohlmann and Jake Pasini parachuted straight back into the league team this week. Both after long injury layoffs. I would have thought at least 1 run in the ressies would have been good, particularly Pasini who is returning from an ACL
Our chances in this game are pretty close to zilch, if you consider the red hot form that Claremont are in and our abysmal record at the ground. Maybe our only hope is if they have an off day, unlikely though
I just hang on to.the upset win we had in 2024 at the ground which got our season up and running, but the best player that day was Aiden Clarke, who has retired and the Tigers certainly werent travelling as well then as they are now
Agree Mike. It shows how desperate the team is bringing back to players without a run in the two. Our reserves haven’t lost a game start rewarding a few.
Im interstate at the moment so missed the game. Would appreciate a wrap up from anyone who was there. From the look of the scoreboard it seemed like the depressingly same story with only Claremonts inaccuracy preventing a 10 goal + flogging.
Were there any positives at all that we can take into next weeks game? I note the reserves won their 4th game and remained unbeaten
Miken. I watched on tv. Where do we start. Same old same old. We hung around till there class shone thru. Same mistakes over hand ball. Bad turn overs. . I am not impressed after 3 years with this coach ? We are going no where. Young Steed looks good Pisani had a Crack and Kolhman back coming helped. As a club I feel we are in trouble when we have to keep rucking Doc has a go yes but we don’t get 1st use of the ball. And not that good around the ground.
Copy and paste from the last few years, poor skill level by hand and foot, moronic decision making, poorly coached & led. Oh and just to top it off a couple more injuries. As a club make some hard decisions ffs!
Agree. BH it’s the same thing every week the same mistakes. If wee were improving some wat I can cop that but there is NO IMPROVEMENT. How long does this guy get to show he is not the coach for this group.
as long as he likes it seems. He has no charisma or presence and Im wondering if the players take any notice of him if they keep making the same mistakes over and over.
Most pundits had us placed from 8th to 10th at the start of the season. From the results so far this is pretty accurate. When you look at Perth, they had many years in the basement and were going nowhere as a club. Now they have a good coach, Football Manager and CEO who all appear to be pulling in the same direction and they have set themselves up for sustained success. Swans are now where Perth were a decade ago, accepting mediocre leadership and performances. Needs a total clean out as some guys have been there far too long in an unsuccessful environment. Why do Claremont constantly make finals and challenge for premierships? Why have Subiaco recovered quickly after a few bad years? Its called fostering a winning culture and Swans have not had that since the years that Dawson was coaching
Take your point in General in what you feel related to Swans.
But Claremont for All their Success at Colts Level, haven’t landed too many Flags at Reserves and League Level since the last League Flag in 2012.
If they don’t land the Big One this year, then what?
And Subi, despite the promising start and yesterday’s performance, are struggling at Reserves and Colts Level.
The Magic wand isn’t going to work a 2nd time around and Schofield could still end up back in the AFL,with an offer far too good to refuse!
Perth haven’t quite turned the pages into a fairytale just yet,but we’re working on it!Probably needs one or 2 fine tunes just yet!,to Seriously challenge South,East Perth, then Claremont!
Agree Mike. When u come away every week thinking wehere are we going as a club. The skill level is very low for years now. The game plan needs to change . The new guys won’t hang around.
Identifying, head hunting and selecting the right coaches has played a part in that Mike.
Those League coaches since Dawson left in 2010 have all gone at under 43% winning ratio which is just putrid, yet all involved in picking these coaches are still at the club!
