Clearly this will undermine the WAFL. It’s a direct shot at WAFL clubs for not producing enough AFL footballers. They should put money into 5-15 yr olds. Leave 16-18 to the WAFL clubs. But they want to brainwash all kids to be Freo or WCE so they get them thru the draft or later.
Our kids who nominate for the AFL,amongst quality mature players,get overlooked frequently and get punished in a BULLSH*T Aggenda by AWFUL HOUSE and their likeminded suits,to say there’s not enough to pick from in WA
We get our Colts Competition D*cked around to cater for those poor talent scouts,who have it all laid out for them and they still can’t identify talent to save themselves!
Then they have the temerity to whinge about the lack of talent in WAFL ranks,when it now seems obvious thanks to Whiteboard Gate confirming it,we have a plethora of players with GLARING WEAKNESSES in their Game,according to each Club’s Coaching Staff.
So to me,le wc and the drks suits can cut the crp about needing an expanded academy,because they really don’t need it and the Football Commission(desperately needing to EARN their WA FOOTBALL Brand)should be putting that proposal where it Belongs!

Any talent was then identified for Victoria instantly and a separate competition established
They almost got away with WA paying for it entirely until the WAFL clubs baulked and then I think the WAFC too
The academies are used by Victorian clubs as the perfect non-paying totally free player source
It was also brought up last year in that so called Thinktank of WA Foty,Townsend mentioned in the middle of last year,on WAFL World.
Why any WAFL Club Board in it’s right mind would think what West Coast and Fremantle are up to,would be a good thing beggars belief.
It’s the old letting Dracula into the blood bank scenario and even Dracula would the idea of shfting the Goalposts midstream!
