Just hitting the news services.
Andrew Krakourer has just passed away at the age of 42.From a heart attack.
Andrew had highs and lows in his life.
A legend of the Wafl and Swan District’s football club.+ AFL
Thankyou for your contribution to Aussie rules footy
RIP AK
RIP Andrew, 42 is so young to be taken. So sad.
Did not know him personally but watched in awe at him playing football, especially for the Swannies
I wonder if a heart attack or a cardiac arrest? The first deals with the plumbing of the arteries of the heart the second deals with the electrical system of the heart (often though not always affected by the plumbing of the arteries of the heart).
Either way very young and very sad. RIP.
What a Grand final he played for Swans v Claremont
geez
sometimes you just don’t have the proper words
Andrew had his Dad’s ability
even looked like him too
saw all of it when he was a colt at South Fremantle
I’ll send my best ones to all in the Krakouer families
they’d be pretty devastated right about now
and rest in peace Andy
Very sad news, Taken far too young.
A footballer with outstanding talent.
Rest Peacefully Andrew.
This has put a pall over the start of the season. I’m sure I’m not the only Swans supporter to be feeling numb and gutted. Footy is unimportant really and Andrew should have had so much more life left in him after turning himself around so wonderfully well after his incarceration. My thoughts go out to his nearest and dearest and he will be forever a Swans legend for what he did in 2010. Sleep easy AK
His 2010 season (not just the GF) was full of the most exciting footy you could ever wish to see, certainly the most dominant season I have seen by one player in the WAFL in the last 45 years, it was a pleasure to watch.
Selling candy, taking speccies, kicking miraculous goals, having over 50 disposals in games, including 42 & 4 in the GF.
R.I.P Kraks
Gone way too soon.
I’ve got to say I am shocked and genuinely saddened by the news of Andrew Krakouers’ passing at such a young age. Apart from his football prowess what most impressed me was how he spoke post his playing career.
The term “role model” is often thrown around but Andy Krakouer really did seem to be a great role model for the indigenous and from the sounds of it, a great family man.
RIP Andrew taken way too soon. Condolences to the Krakouer family.
