Looking forward to this with Arcadia Queen roughly sharing favoritism with Santa Ana Lane. Cant wait. 13.15pm tomorrow our time.
Hopefully Arcadia Queen can get up for WA DD as Bob needs the money!!!
The NSW Racing industry might have another ‘Everest’ to overcome after last nights 7.30 Report episode, as a horse racing enthusiast I found it quite disturbing to watch.
I just caught a bit of it on 6PR this morning BH. I didn’t see the program. I’ll check it out later. Go the Queen!!!
You and me both BH. I’m not a punter and to see the way those horses were treated last night just about had me in tears and very, very angry. I hope prosecutions come out of it and whilst I’m not a huge fan of the ABC, well done to them for their investigative journalism.

That was tough to watch
Interesting that the Everest is just another listed race, not a GROUP race. Those Sydney idiots want it elevated to Group One status but it is just an invitational race worth millions.
PS. I like PIERATA to beat Santa Ana Lane..
Also being the “Chosen One” I could win the Caulfield Cup.. Trifecta from: 4,6,7.10.14 & 16..
Arcadia Queen was a bit disappointing finishing second last, she did cop a hip and shoulder half way up the straight from Redzel who moved up the track into her and stop her in her tracks a bit but she wasnt going to win at that point anyway.

I thought the jockey was probably worried she would get blocked for a run so he pushed her forward a bit early and she didn’t really kick. I’m sure she’ll bounce back hopefully Bob Peters will leave her there for a while to show her best again and not rush her back here for the Railway/Winterbottom/Kingston Town.
while she didn’t win, she still ran a fast time. Im not sure why they targeted that sprint, she is better over more ground and I reckon she will win the golden eagle over 1500meters in a couple of weeks time
Personally I think Mr Peters got a touch greedy going for the richest sprint in the land, Anyone that remembers her run in the Kingstown town last year will agree with me, she could have gotten a nice light weight in the cox plate, and with the struggles in the weight for age horses she could have been just as competitive there in my opinion

You are probably right PH but I recall Bob saying he didn’t want to take his mare to Melbourne because there is a treatment for mares (something to do with their menstruation cycle I think) he uses which is banned in Melbourne but not Sydney. Now that is just ridiculous isn’t it? That would be like saying you can have a snort before the game in WA but not Victoria.
Heard Lindsay Smith on 6PR last night he sounded very confident about Black Heart Bart’s chances in the Cox Plate. He’d want to be he’s paid the $200,000 late entry fee.
14 million dollar race why wouldn’t you have a throw at the stumps!
Terror, while I agree it was worth a throw at the stumps, its a huge training ask to get a horse to come back to 1200 meters after its last run was 1300 meters and it was 35 days between runs.
Most of the horses that finished at the top end of the Everest were first up, or had run 1000 meters at their last start.
I still think the horse runs better over longer distances, that’s why I reckon she is a shoe in for the silver eagle over 1500 meters and I reckon she could have easily been close to favorite this weekend if they set her for the cox plate.
The way she smashed everything in the Kingstown town over 1800 meters clearly shows she should be able to get 2040meters of the cox plate…
Anyway, just back the Japanese horse Saturday
