Just a head’s up to George & Mike ..just looking at the latest newest footy recruits on ozfooty looks like spammers are trying to deluge us here (and I dont mean anchorman either) 
..after the spammers destroyed footygoss I would hate to see this place go the same way!

Thus far the admin team have been on the ball in regards to spammers. The spammers are a problem everywhere online. If we all stay vigilant, this site should stay free of all the crap. I am a member of another blog type site and when spammers try to sign up, they are dispatched with, banned and given the flick very quickly! Unable to see why it shouldn’t be the same here.
Spammers are a problem everywhere and if you look at the last five footy recruits Jax, pso8wfsb5p, sesobuXX, Boisseexpiple, greatwhitepointer only Jax and greatwhitepointer seem legitimate posters.
I’ve been keeping an eye on it from my phone all weekend. At a PC today, so will ensure all updates have been done for the software we are using.
IF they do get through, it won’t be for long!
