The well known actor Sam Neill passing away this morning. Had a battle with a rare type of cancer a couple years ago and apparently had recovered from it. Appeared in many good movies.

I don’t watch a hell of a lot of the idiotbox in general
however this guy was always entertaining
never thought he was that old so was surprised to see him leave us
rest in peace mate you did well and gave us all something decent to think about

His career was a whole lot more than Guest Starring in Rake.
But I did love his Role as Dr Chandler,not because of any bizarre fascinations with the family pooch,but just the realisation of sheer horror if the good Doctor’s Daughter found out,it was dear mother in the family 3 some in the incriminating Video,whilst the "reputable"Cleaver Greene tried to dig Bruce and Jan(Chandler)out of the hole they were in.
Quite amusing.
