Round 14, C2

More ladder movement once again with a stunning win for Valley, they leave light at the end of the tunnel chasing fifth. Piara cement top spot with a dominant performance. Cott getting the job done over Basso. Balla finally getting a win over a struggling Gossy. Canning vale scrapping it in by a goal against canning.

Cott looking to finish the season off strong and hopefully claim a few more wins. Canning vale only just last week and I hear they might have a few out this week which will make things interesting. They have now slowly moved into third and are looking to hold that spot. Canning vale by 5 goals

Belmont got out done by a more hungry side last week and they now take on a side who were also average last weekBelmont need to find that hard nose footy edge especially if the want to get up over an even more hungry Kingsley. Kingsley by 18 points

Balla up and about, while canning should be proud of their efforts from last week taking up to a top contender. Canning just needs to focus and win to keep fifth spot as they have someone hot on their heels.

Canning by 4 goals

Can Gossy redeem themselves after last week’s poor performance. They will be hoping their FIFO players are back and ready for a hungry valley side. Valley showed what they can actually do when they put together a four quarter performance. This is going to be a cracker and my pick for GORT, I’m expecting the gossy locals to blow the roof off their patio. Gossy by 7 points

Piara showed their dominance last week and flexed some more. Should get a little more of a percentage boost in this one against basso. I’m just hoping it’s not a bad blow out for the basso boys. Piara waters by 10 goals

Good luck everyone

Hard to believe we are already nearing the end of the season already. An overturned win courtesy of Basso gives Valley a chance at top 5 and they have an easier run home than Canning so next week’s game the winner could be going through and season over for the loser. Top 4 spots are sewn up and pretty well no chance of the bottom 2 not being relegated at this point.

Cottesloe vs Canning Vale - Cott have been pretty disappointing the middle part of the season when they lost a few players will want to try and finish off the season strong but Canning Vale isn’t the team you want to be facing. Cougars have been on fire in the mid section and now a chance to get ready for finals. Cougars by 8 goals

Belmont Vs Kingsley - The game last week I was told was an absolute cracker and the reserves followed up under lights with another belter. Belmont will serve it up to Kingsley and I think any of the top 5 are capable of beating each other on their day. This is my tip for GOTR and will be a belter! I’m tipping The Kats who are licking their wounds from the Falcons by 2 goals.

Canning Vs Ballajura - Was good to open the results and see Balla get a win and boy oh boy wowee did they do it in style over Gozzie too! No one would have seen that coming and I bet King Fisher rocked Saturday night. The Tigers are fighting for 5th and won’t get The Royals a sniff here …. 8 goals.

Gosnells Vs Valley - Valley finally put in a 4 quarter effort in arguably their best game of the year and Shane McAdam showed why he was drafted with a massive game playing alongside his cousin for the first time. Valley eyeing off 5th spot and a struggling Gozzie would love to upset them here and will no doubt will have a fair crack. GOTR is a bit of stretch I reckon KTB and I’d love to be there drinking with my Gozzie mates talking smack but I won’t be so either I will be messaging them or i’ll cop it. Either way plenty of banter and Valley by 7 goals.

Piara Vs Bassendean - Basso had their opportunity to stay out of relegation on the weekend but couldn’t get the job done against The Roosters but finishing 9th is still on the table as we all know not every team always gets relegated with other teams dropping out etc so 9th is a big carrot. Falcons are flying and by 10 goals for me.

Good luck all and enjoy the frothies!

I’m going to add this in KTB, 2 teams in the last 4 weeks with spectators rolling up with their own alcohol drinking around the ground.

One group, supporters went yep all good and handed the drinks over and got them when they left, no issues there.

The other group argued, told the licensed bar manager to f*ck off and made right dicks of themselves and the bar manager cut the entire club off. We will not jeopardise our liquor licence which is required all year round being a sporting club because some dim wits don’t want to tow the line.

I have no doubt that club will have copped it from the league and the supporters will think they’re hero’s but you’re clowns. Pull your heads in and follow the rules or sit at home.

Wow… thanks for sharing that information Viper. That is very disappointing to hear and I hope appropriate action from the clubs is taken. I applaud the club that actually went and had a word to the group, at the end of the day that is not on and we are all here to support community football.
