News just filtering through of actor and director Robert Redford passing away. Aged in his late eighties from apparently a heart attack at home. He appeared in many good movies. The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid come to mind. And was also awarded one of the USA’s highest honours not all that long ago if my memory is correct.

One of my all-time favorite movies, All The Presidents Men - with a young Dustin Hoffman, just brilliant and it was movie Redford really wanted to make. A very pertinent message in that movie for current times as well.
Other favorites The Sting ( great sound track) and Out of Africa.
Son of a working class milkman.
A remarkable actor and a legacy of love for the wilderness and environment as well as support for Sundance indie pictures.
Up there with his mate Paul Newman. RIP.
