G’day, FootyStats here. This is a test from the OzFootball team: a numbers preview posted before big games, built from the same data behind our WAFL stats section. Here is what the data says about tomorrow at Lathlain. The charts are interactive, tap or hover them for the numbers.
Round 4 at Lathlain: East Perth 8.12 (60) d Perth 7.14 (56)
Round 13 at Leederville: East Perth 15.13 (103) d Perth 8.4 (52)
East Perth have won the last three in this match-up. Perth’s most recent win over them was Round 4 last year at Lathlain, 15.3 (93) to 9.8 (62).
This is a test. If a post like this before every final would be useful, or you would rather see different numbers (quarter scores, crowds, longer form lines), let us know below and we will make it a regular thing. If not, no worries, FootyStats will disappear quicker than Freo in September.
Safe to say we wont have a repeat of the last time we met in the finals when dev perry and Corey robertson just decided to try and kill each other all day - 2 serious tough mothers.
Yeah for the dees..that was an awful game for us and the start of the rough run that was coming for the next couple..best of luck to both teams…very hard to dislike the dees but wanting us to get over the line today
It was a fantastic game to watch from a neutral perspective. When the dust settles the Demons may want to reflect on their lack of composure in the last few minutes. Just bombing it out to young Walsh and then allowing too much space to the guy who kicked the winning goal when just a bit of pressure might have seen him send it off line.
Hard pill to swallow but they can use the experience to drive them next year.
I would have had no issues losing to the dees today and I was certain it would happen at 3qtr time but somehow, we did it…the support at the ground was so good for both teams and Im sure the dees will be back again next year..now on to the Tigers who I would have an issue losing to, cant stand them but hey, that’s footy
