Ordinary round

Almost four games down, and three thumpings. With a double banger last night, allegedly the highlight of the weekend, could it be referred to as a double bunger night! Fizzog.
Suns, Bombers, good for 3/4s, then, wham bam, all over. Suns killed it.
Cats, Tiger all over way before 1/2 time.
Tigers very ordinary. Cats experience every where. Must be out fight faves for the flag.

Collingwood Favourites but Geelong not far behind. That could be the Grand Final

At this stage, I agree. Hard to work out Geelong as against a very weak Tiges.
Bolta will get four weeks for his hit on Stewart. Looks totally disinterested. Wasting a spot for another kid I reckon. Lynch last week, Bolta this week, not good from senior players.

Big effort from Port. Lost two in first 1/4. Then lost SPP with an ACL. Sadly, looks like it will be all over for Sam.

Hey Anchorman SPP done his left knee last night. After missing most of 2024 with his right knee.He was Ports best player last night, before the injury.
Last couple of games he was in the midfield. And was playing well.

Yeah did mention that. Very sad,he is a tough competitor. Will be badly missed by Port.

Not sure about an AFL double header on Friday night.

It is an abomination. Supposedly prime time for clubs. The big stage for some.

It’s indeed a very cruel blow for SPP, gtrxuone, doing the ACL of both knees in successive seasons.
I can’t think of another AFL player who’s torn both ACLs in such quick succession, but given that Sam’s still only 27, he has time on his side to come back from this.
However, who could blame him if he hung up the boots.

Hope Sam doesn’t call it a day.He might end up back at the Royals. In two seasons
Hes popular at Port. But might decide to stay in Sa,post footy.

I’d love to have Sam back at the Royals once his AFL days are done, gtrxuone, but I think he’s a South Aussie thru and thru these days.
When Sam calls it a day, depending on whether he opts to keep playing after this latest setback, I reckon Port Power will have a role for him at the club.

Always hate to see players go down like that with serious injury, regardless of who you support.
He has been a great warrior for Port.
Hopefully he has a successful recovery.
