I was lucky enough to witness just how good this guy was
particularly both at West Perth and then South Fremantle
was totally shocked when it got to the backpage of the West
that he had walked out on the Cardinals
and wanted a clearance to South Fremantle
60K plus fee which was a small fortune back then comparatively
kicked 10 goals in a half of football once against Subiaco
on one leg
some freak goals out of nowhere many times
ended up a good midfielder too
battled the dog for many years which made his work all that much better to be honest
geez this guy was absolutely brilliant

I will never forget his six goals in a quarter for Perth against Swans in 1986. Turned the game.

Stuck hard with me this one
all day long
and so 'dogs you can mark another purchase down mate
there’s a few still left around the club that will have seen this
Stazza only left because Malcolm went to Perth
cheers

Success,
I think it was 7 goals in the 3rd quarter and 9 overall.
Yes it certainly turned the game. Swans were well ahead at halftime. Stanza was great in his 2 seasons at Perth, so skilful.

Vaguely remember Stazza doing similar against us vs WP at Leederville one day in the early 80s SH.
Mercurial player, cant wait to have a read of the book.

Sounds right Cesspit. Bill Armstrong - I think - was on him at HB that day. He didn’t get many more games after that.

Swandog’s book by chance?..well done Rick…no doubt will be a good read

Rick has done a fantastic job recounting the football life of Chris Stasinowsky.
Although I only saw Stazza play when he was “tormenting” East Perth (and he almost joined the Royals in mid-1982 before moving to South Fremantle), I think this book will appeal to WAFL supporters in general.
