so it rears up again …

wonder if he’ll go this time?

Guess we will just have to wait and see.

might be worthwhile having a bet on Melbourne this week … change of coach (think the winning % is around 75 when this happens) and now this to upset Saints.-

I thought I read somewhere where the new coach thing is a myth.It is less than 50%.Saints will still beat Melbourne.

Have Saint Kilda done the right thing in standing Milne down indefinitely,or should they have let him play?
I think it could have got nasty att he game when they play this weekend if he had played. Not from the players perspective but from the crowds. He has been subjected to the abuse since this incident or alleged incident took place.Though given that they are playing Melbourne, maybe there wont be many there.

This is just like the Essendon drug scandal. Until proven guilty, we can’t determine any wrong doing. Just how I read all this.

So you think the Saints are just protecting their brand?

Not at all good for the game but nothing has been proven yet.
NRL would be relieved as it has taken the spotlight off them this week.

MMM not sure about that they have just as big a problem, don’t they?
So you would have let him play?

unfortunately Milney is in for a hell of a time from the crowd from here on in (more so than usual).

Ben Cousins, Michael Johnson are 2 that also cop(copped) their fair share too about drugs but the crowd calling out rapist could be bad.

He is already copping that sort of stuff, but I think it would get worse from here in.He has to be proven guilty but some people don’t care about that.
I think he was on tele recently objecting to it all.

It is a very tough call to make really, if he is guilty you would hope he would be sacked immediately…BUT innocent until proven guilty so if he wants to play then let him, he knows he will cop it from the crowd…but if he thinks it is best for him to play then let him play.

Same case as in the NRL, bloke was suspended while the case was going on…lost nearly a whole year of playing because of it, only to come out innocent.

Yes the issue is a very serious one and we need to tread carefully to get the facts and provide a quilty/not guilty, but as much as we jump on Milney (or whovere in this situation) we need to be equally aware of the other party who could be lying through their teeth to get their moment in the spotlight. This sort of thing can ruin someones life, one way or another.

The issue here should not be Milne.
It should be the Victorian police.
to re-open a case after being aquitted 9years ago seems abit rotten.
All in all shambolic. at least it appears to be.

I think the saints did the right thing here. while its very tough on a man who has not been found guilty of anything yet, the public will hound him and they know it. Milne has more important things to focus on than football. thats the reality of it. its a tough situation for both club and player. no wrong or right way to deal with it.
