don’t know what is more worrying the scoreline or that brad bootsma is playing ressies for them.

I have heard of Bootsma but forget his age and who he played for. But it couldn’t be more worrying than scoring 13 points last week and 2 points today.

The league team was beaten by nearly 100 points and the reserves scored 2 points, got the ball 120 less times than their opponents and only went into their forward 50 seventeen times in the whole game. The alignment cannot come quick enough for these guys and you would have to wonder if it will help or hinder them?

they did go on a recruiting drive and got several players.they did get a stack of dockers players due to freo picking up a stack of eastern staters.i suppose they were unlucky that the dockers copped a lot of injuries but in the end today’s league team had 4 dockers and 3 former afl listed players so maybe the rest of the list is thin.maybe they have been distracted in thinking that alignment will do it for them.

The way Peel are going, what are the chances of them not fielding a reserves side next year and beyond? According to a Peel supporter, even their colts just got a team together but somehow managed a win. Not good for the comp whichever way you look at it.

I was told 5 of the colts were unregistered players. Not sure if it is true but i think they would forfeit the points if that is the case.

Something has to be done here. No spectators, No players.

brad bootsma played for south and the dockers.is the football manager at peel and 41 years young.i think he played reserves with his son.apart from the picketts i don’t think that happens much

Someone mentioned on another site that jamason daniels, bennell, bristow & ash thorton may have all left the club.

DG none of those appear on the Peel list at all.

Ash Thornton has been a total disappointment at WAFL level.

Came to Perth off the WCE list and underachieved and has not been able to get a game at Peel.

Me think ego and a lack of application may have played a hand .

And they lost a pile early in the pre-season season when it become clear the AFL players would get priority.

Clint Garlett, Bryce Thornton, Eddie Dann, Mitch Keddell, Rhett Mason, Matt Battye - come to mind. Some of those blokes could really play.

I spoke to a few parents down at Peel and at least according to them, the allignment is hated.

Where have all these blokes gone??? What a waste.

Most of them are floating around in the Peel league but because Peel have kept them registered in most cases it would require a rival club to pay a fee for their services.

I think we should approach Rhett Mason but it would cost something.

Interestingly Clint Garlett was in the Swans rooms after the match vs SF last week ..I for one have no feelings for them as Peel & EP have made their beds now they have to lie in them ..at least for the next 5 years!

Yeah nor do I.

In fact, because their list is allowed to be the same size as the G7 clubs plus their AFL players, they can keep these blokes registered, thus making it a requirement that other WAFL clubs have to pay big money to obtain the services of a Clint Garlett for example.

This needs to change ASAP. Their list should be reduced to 35 plus supps.

The G7 clubs have 55 plus supps.

He’s a local lad. He played state 18’s for WA. Absolute gun colts player and has played 28 league games before he quit as a 21 year old. I think his family might barrack for Subi as well. (I think, can’t confirm)

192 cm as well so can play a lot of positions.

The alignment will actually make it worse. Why would a player stay at Peel knowing that he is going to get overlooked week in week out for a Freo player who may not yet be as good. They can go country just down the road and get paid a lot more. THe only players they will have in their 2’s next year are the groupies who want to say they are at a league club.
