It’s looking likely Liverpool would be awarded the 2019-20 Premier League title. Speculation is gathering momentum it will be impossible to complete the season.
Liverpool are currently 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
There was a plan of simply scrapping this whole season, but that looks unlikely at the moment.
the season could be finished if they went to the Italian model of no crowds, one can play a couple of games a week without too much trouble.
Might as well
and Celtic as well
Baz: There is also a proposal as follows
winners are grinners including liverpool and celtic
no relegation
two up from the lower leauges
each league will be two teams larger for one season
I like that proposal, AR. No relegation.
That would mean my mob, West Ham would be safe in Premier League.
Yes mate, good luck to them, I think its fair. LU go up too, from the second division, which suits me.
Apparently there are talks planned on the best way of implementing of completing the season. It’s understood that if restrictions on mass gatherings are not lifted, officials are open to the idea of staging matches behind closed doors in order to complete fixtures. Club representatives will be shown expert modelling of various end-of-season scenarios at the meeting, and what the possible financial and legal ramifications of each would be.
There seems to be a determination to do everything possible to push for the season to be completed.
