Well done Banana Benders my opinion of you just increased. Hopefully the beginning of the end for Labor in other states and federally.
Agreed DD. Even better was the toxic Greens were spanked as well. It’s well and truly time for the adults to take charge and send the woke lefties Labor, Greens, Teals to the opposition benches where they belong.
Yes BC hopefully we can look back 5 or 10 years down the track and say phew remember when? We dodged a bullet. Not sure we have a true right wing party, well not a major one anyway but I think people are starting to wake up to these sympathisers who are ruining our country and our way of life.
Things turning around, first NT now QLD.
Crime a huge issue in both elections, NT ALP increased the age or youth crime, with disastrous results.
Albo will be worried, it’s been a downhill slide since the Voice train wreck, if interest rate relief doesn’t come soon we could be in for a very close result.
Cannot see WA Libs winning the majority here is too big, but COOKED will take a big hit.
SPENDALOTTI is pushing through her rail projects at huge cost in the hope it will get votes, Ellenbrook opens in December but the rebuilt Armadale line wont come in on time.
I am very interested in seeing just how horrid-facial-expression Mettam is going to reduce power cost as her promise
so far it is the only pollie who has dared to make that statement in Australia
yeah very interested in how this will be happening and how it will be guaranteed - strange that it wouldn’t put it in writing or provide detail , which by the way seems to be Voldemort Party procedure - all bullshit with no paperwork
personally I think it’s full of shit and really , like old Voldemort , it’s a smokescreen to keep feeding coal & gas but hey let’s see what magic it seems to possess
Labor are on the nose across the country and the Greens are also coping a hiding…there was a 14% swing to Labor at the last election on the 2 party preferred vote. I can see the LNP getting 20-25 seats in March and can the LNP pick up 8+ seats in the Legislative Council?
Albo is becoming more and more toxic as the weeks pass, just after his $4.5 Mill holiday house - now we find out he was ringing and asking for free upgrades and probably flights from his best buddies at Qantas all the while shutting down competition from Qatar costing consumers heaps while Qantas could keep their sordid little monopoly. If ever there was a matter that should go to Labor great new Anti-Corruption Commision this is one.
Dutton is looking more and more like a real prospect.

LNP in Qld were picking up 14 - 15 % swings in the election just gone, seems a lot are dumping the Greens based on wacky housing policy and their over obsession with Palestine, and then there’s the Thorpe factor although she left they still get the flak for getting the bum into the senate to start with.
had to laugh at old horror face mettam deciding on a commish into the health system
fucken hell that’s funny hey
Liberals did squat themselves too busy building elizabeth quay and upkeeping a weirdo belltower to notice all the defects in a new hospital
commish will find those at faults too or is horror face going to manipulate it
funny lot of pollies we have to endure

Last time I looked ramping under the Libs in 2017 was around 1000 hours a month which Cook described as a disgrace or similar at the time of the election. It’s now up top 6000 hours a month. Libs built FSH and PCH, Labor has built a train set which is years late and billions over budget. Go figure.

Libs also built Perth Stadium and Claremont Oval versus Labor who delivered East Fremantle Oval and had trouble digging through sand to get a train to Perth Airport.

Have you seen the works on the Armadale Line, I mean what are they thinking? the huge spend on aerial train tracks, massive concrete pillars, over a heap of waste land just seems like a huge waste of money and resources, Perth to Armdale is not exactly Manhatten New York City, whole thing looks like madness.
I try to avoid all those areas if I can help it Baz, but did have to go out to Bunnings Armadale a few weeks ago and couldn’t believe all the crap going on along Armadale Road. I won’t be doing that again any time soon.

Disagree Baz it’s got nothing to do with the status of the suburbs along my clubs zones but there is probably much higher density along that line than any other. In my now previous occupation as a taxi driver it was a fricken nightmare crossing some of those crossings.
Once had to wait for 3 trains to pass the Welshpool road crossing with a passenger on the way to the airport. It’s brilliant already even with reduced speed limits while construction is going on.
I’ve been to Bangkok a few times and ariel trains are compulsory unless you can put them underground in tunnels. Bit of a slog sometimes when the elevators aren’t working but I guess we can all do with the exercise.
I’m not a Rita fan as you know she’s a one trick pony but you want to talk about madness, talk to Midland residents and surrounding areas. She closed Robinson road which runs across tracks not effected by metro trains because that’s where the new train set flat pack workshops are.
They say they needed to close it for shunting but to my knowledge they are yet to use it for anything. It’s been closed for about 2 years now and was a vital alternative to Lloyd st to get from Bellevue side of the tracks to GTE Hwy Midland side. Clayton street as a result is a permanent cluster fuck.
I have spoken at length with the City of Swan and they say when Abernethy road extension goes through to join up with Lloyd street it will alleviate the build up on Clayton street because that will take traffic off Military road. Problem with that is Rita has fucked that up too.
Aboriginal groups originally agreed to the Abernethy road extension bridge but did a U turn and now object because they’ve found something they call an ancient rock shelter along the edge of the Helena river if you can call it a river. Rowe highway probably cut off it flow of water downstream.
Now let me tell you about the new Midland train station debacle. As you know the current Midland train station is opposite Centrepoint Midland shopping centre. It’s carpark is smack bang right out the front of the station and bus station. They are building the new station the other side Helena St crossing about a hundred metres further east but the new multi storey car park is a further 50-100 metres further west of the existing station making it at least 100-200 metres from the new train station. A new bus terminal will be built in between.
What a trek for commuters. When I used to wait at the taxi rank outside the front of the train station I always saw people rushing to get the train when they are already out the front.
The new station will be in no man’s land, further away from Centrepoint shopping centre and while a bit closer to Midland Gate and Midland Hospital it could have and should have in my opinion been ideally located in between the two.
Helena street crossing has been closed permanently angering those that live in Hazelmere and Woodbridge and further angering residents living around the corner of Cale st and Railway Parade where the new Cale st crossing is right out the front of Midland Hospital.
They have already ripped up the traffic lights intetersection twice outside Midland hospital and you can no longer go straight across GTE HWY from Cale street as a result. This bitch has fucked Midland with Metronet and fucked the taxi industry.
Seriously looking forward to the next few months with the commentary on here, tis worth waking up just to read the opinions, whilst downing my first coffee. thanks!
