Today sees end of hostilities and the war comes to an end. Pakistan doing a great job with the mediating. Apparently Trump signing the paper this coming Friday. One has to ask the question, has anything really been gained?
Iran still has plenty of weapons, there has been no regime change, the war has cost the US a reported billion dollars a day, between three thousand and four thousand killed and the list could go on
Trump been looking for a way out of this mess for a while, with Iran in no real hurry. And now Israel is angry because the US is opting out. My understanding being the US - Iran deal to last for 60 days whilst issues sorted properly. Lets hope for a permanent end to hostilities.
Will be intetesting to keep an eye on the Israeli reactions. Hopefully they can stop their fighting. Their PM is not really popular annd he may be more concerned with the national election just around the corner.
I’m vainly hoping the Labo/ur Party there resurrects itself there,to try and get things moving in a better direction.
But the Fundamentalists there Won’t have it and if the Status quo exists after that Election, what hope do ordinary everyday people have,of having some sort of peace?
Same problem for the Palestinians, ruled at the point of a gun by Hamas, created with Israel’s tacit approval, morphed into an alliance far Worse with Iran.
Speaks volumes when the even more EVIL ISIS are P*ssed off than Hamas are anywhere near Iran and Hezbollah.
Whichever way you cut it, the great unwashed, disinterested in Fundamentalist Claptrap of supposedly their own people, have little to No Chance of living a normal life.
When I see kids wearing Soccer shirts dreaming of playing for their Favourite Clubs in mainly Europe, instead of brandishing a lethal weapon,I despair of them never really getting that chance of kicking a ball around.
And the US,….for all their Interference and Indulgence,CURSE THEM!
Expensive way to cover up for the Epstein investigation. For the fella who said he was a no war President, funny way to show it. Iran basically embarrassed Trump. For a country with no functioning navy, airforce, military and governing body, Iran did well to keep Trump at bay after week 1….apparently all those above entities were wiped out by Trump et al early on…..blind leading the blind it seems.
A fiction writer couldn’t make this stuff up. It would be hilarious if the stakes weren’t so high and the orange senile didn’t have one finger on the N button
Have to be one of the biggest strategic screw ups in US history.
Spent 2 Billions bucks a day, killed 13 Troops, 160 Iranian School Kids and 1000s of Civilians, got a tonne of Oil Infrastructure wrecked in Gulf, forced the price of fuel up, revealed US Power in the Gulf to be a paper tiger as Missiles reigned down on UAE Kuwait Saudi and Qatar after their bases were taken out day 1.
Not a single war aim achieved and all for a deal that sounds worse than the JCPOA and America and the Gulf States have to pay 300 Billion for the damage done to Iran so they can get the straights open which Iran will control not with a Toll but a Fee…Semantics…
Israel looks like the big loser as an emboldened - Iran remains on their doorstep and now the Gulf States will be forced to stay on good terms with Iran as the US drifts from the region with power diminished.
Trump had to pay 32 Billion to Iran to stop them attacking Israel over the bombing of Beirut..or his UFC birthday deal would unravel..Its a clownshow.
Israel and the crook Bibi will be doing all they can to blow the peace up and drag the US back in for some fantasy Iran collapse.
But he played the stock exchange well for him and his rich mates - every time he made an announcement on X his mates and financial advisors made millions buying or selling stocks.
There is always one group of people that benefit from anything Trump does and that’s his mates
Predictable disaster,War criminal Netanyahu has been touting the lie for 40 years that Iran were on the cusp of a Nuke ,and he finally found the” useful idiot” he’s been pining for, probably telling him it was another easy Venezuela mission. The bumbling duo definitely underestimated the capabilities of the Persians who are a several thousand year culture, and even have the technological know how to produce roaming space surveillance satellites, and all of their leadership hold PHD’s and the nation as a whole have a 90% literacy rate.
The problem with US politics is both major parties are beholden to the AIPAC lobby, and the billionaire Zionist donor’s would be dead against peace deals that would leave Iran in a position of strength,so don’t be surprised if this is just a brief pause in this illegal war.
The mou plan being signed later this week has 14 main points, which Trump has described as a great deal. Looks to be a goox plan for Iran, with maybe a couple sticky points for the US? Should be able to finalise a final agreement in a couple of months if Israel and the terrorists behave themselves.
So panicked about rising fuel prices, inflation terrible polling with the mid terms approaching they need to end the war asap, yes there a nutjob big zionists and neo cons want more war but they wont get a say if they lose their control of congress…
As predicted, reports that Iran are closing the Strait of Hormuz again as Israel are deliberately sabotaging the MOU by attacking southern Lebanon,so come on Orange man put your foot down and tell Bibi to pull his head in.
After Iran attacked the cargo ship earlier in the week, the US retaliated and hit iranian targets. Apparently the vessel struck on the port side by a projectile/s and suffered damage near the bridge. Thankfully no crew were harmed. All this happened close to Omans coastline as many vessels now choosing the southern most route. And apparently silly old iran have stated they are now going to attack US assets.
Yep, the wheels on the bus keep going round and round.
Hopefully this just a minor skirmish and there is no escalation.
Not sure Iran could be responsible for any attacks….didn’t DT say he wiped out their military, Navy, Airforce etc and their 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier leaders……months ago?
