40 Years after having the Title Cruelly whisked away on the last day of the 1986/86 Season,Heart of Midloathian dard to Dream again.
Having put Rangers near out of commission and 7 points behind them with 3 games to go they must now go about the business of Winning the next 2,before playing Celtic at Parkhead to possibly decide the Scottish Premiership.
NOBODY outside the Old Firm have Won it since the then Alex Ferguson guided Aberdeen to their 3rd Title in 4 years,in 1984/85.
Things got so exciting when they beat Rangers,I stumbled into a Brazilian Commentator calling Hearts Equalizer,…
WELL its going to be an exciting finish…HEARTS knocked the blue boy rangers OUT of contention and with just 3 games remaining only CELTIC can knock them off and guess what they play each other in the LAST game…what a finish…..
Folk here in WA whinge about how the WAFL top 3 or 4 clubs stays the same year in and year out……imagine following the Scotish soccer…same old same old for decades.
I lived in the UK for 15 years, used to keep an eye on the Scottish results, for my weekly soccer pools selection……Rangers and Celtic were lock ins every week, bar Derby day. Used to follow a lower division club called East Fife for the hell of it..they never got out of the 2nd or 3rd division league once…..too easy for folk to follow the bigger clubs……especially foreigners…..
Follow Queens Park for the He’ll of it and anyone but The Old Firm.
But just to annoy the Protestants in the family,I lean towards Celtic in The Old Firm Derby.
Couldn’t do that in Glasgow.
Queens Park were on the verge of a famous Promotion to the Top Tier of Scottish Football, when sadly they stumbled at the end of last Season and are back to playing at 1 000 capacity Little Hampden Park.
They did well enough to recover a terrible start to this Season, just to stay in the 2nd Tier.Maybe next year!
As for the race to the Title,it goes to the last day at Parkhead as I still call it,after Celtic snatched a very late 9th Minute Injury/VAR Time Penalty,Darn It!
Celtic won v Motherwell, some salty tears about a clear handball decision, anyway thar lines it all up for a MASSIVE show down in the last game..Celtic v Hearts, with Hearts Just 1 point up, a Celtic win gives them the title a draw or win gives Hearts a long awaited Premiership.
