Not a good week to forget the tips with only 1 away side taking home the points. Plenty got 5 this week as we enter the final round of the first half of the season.

Dianella Morley (6th) Carlisle (2nd) @ Dianella Open Space
Carlisle had a good win against Cockburn and their hard running has only seen them drop 2 games so far. They are looking good for the 2nd chance but know they have to win games like this to take it. The Raiders lost to the top side last week comprehensively and face the 2nd placed side this week. Not the double they would have wanted but they will take some confidence playing at home.
Carlisle to win.
Armadale (9th) v Belmont (10th) @ Gwynne Park

Game of the round. The reason? Barring a draw, 1 side will get its first win for the year so they have EVERYTHING to play for here. Both sides are coming off big losses and will do anything to get the win. Not a lot to say on this but the result will be interesting. Hard to know who to pick but I’ll go the home ground advantage here.
Armadale to win.

Ballajura (7th) v Noranda (1st) @ Kingfisher Oval
Ballajura got smashed by Nolla and are now a game and a half out of the 5. They’ve played well in patches but don’t stand a chance against near neighbors Noranda. The Hawks warmed up for this by belting another top 5 side in Dianella. Hopefully Kingfishers size help choke things up a bit for Balla to give them a fighting chance.
Noranda to win.

East Fremantle (8th) v Nollamara (4th) @ Winnacott Reserve
East Fremantle pushed themselves further away from relegation with a solid win against Belmont. They’ll have to take that confidence of winning into this game from the first bounce. Nollamara have put their foot down again and the Royals felt the fury. At their best they can beat anyone and will be confident of cementing their top5 spot with a win here.
Nollamara to win.

Cockburn Lakes (5th) v Ellenbrook (3rd) @ Anning Park
The Warriors will be happy to be back at Anning Park after travelling up to Carlisle and coming back with nothing. They will want get back into the winners circle against a team they haven’t played in a few years and had a bit of early season banter with. The Eels beat bogey side Armadale and will look to take the same form into this game. Will be interesting with 2 brothers coaching against each other’s clubs, although not directly against each other (CL – league coach, Ellenbrook reserves). No doubt they’ll have a chat to each other during the week to try the smoke & mirrors routine.
