Well finally Peake was admitted to the VFL centric Hall of Fame, how he wasn’t in a decade or more ago is beyond me and almost an insult that he goes in alongside Scott West who wouldn’t carry his bags (no disrespect to West) and Lloyd too..the other who should have been in long ago was Rick Davies who has an enviable record and I have his autograph that I got after a state game 30 years ago, I have Russell Eberts too
…and so he should have and total concur with you SD.
An All Australian Captain said it all. He was a true Legend of the game.
More importantly Hassa Mann was inducted,
bomber well and truly deserves to be in there and should have been in a long time ago.
A true champion regardless of who you support.
Well done to Hassa as well but not sure he would have got the induction for his role here at Souths. They more than likely didn’t even realise he had won a premiership here.I will watch with interest tonight to see if the Souths side of things gets a mention.
Had the pleasure of meeting Rick Davies after the Dockers/Essendon semi final some moons ago at Subiaco Oval. We adjourned to the Suby Members Bar to drown our sorrows and he was there.
Great bloke and a star player.
Good stories Oos welcome back on board the forum.
Yeh forgot to mention Hassa, I wasn’t born but he was the architect in the 1970 flag wasn’t he when they flogged Perth..who on here was at that game? Tell us some more
I was there.Remember the Bob Shields Turkey Tom incident.
A bit too far back to remember too much about it.
