Australian MotoGP move

What an absolutely appalling decision to move the Australian MotoGP from Philip Island which is widely regarded as one of if not the best, most exciting and fastest track for motorcycle racing in the world with loads of huge run off areas for rider safety, to a fucken flat boring street circuit in Adelaide which will be near on impossible to have any run off areas.

You can’t make this shit up. Not sure who ultimately makes this decision but I suspect it’s the MotoGP governing body.

Yep, agree r’n’b. Apparently GP Australia wouldn’t spend money on spectator facilities which are supposed to be appalling. I fear for rider safety on a street circuit. It’ll be safer that say the Isle of Man TT but coming off at 300kms an hour near trees and buildings is a fatality waiting to happen even with gravel run off areas.

Watching the Sydney 500 Supercar race Eastern Creek would have been a better option. Past champions are all condemning this decision and there hasn’t been a MotoGP race on a street circuit since 1981. That says it all.
