A team that promises so much , yet delivers so little.A team of aging players who the they rely on far too much.
2017 will see the demise of a few of them I am thinking.I can see Scott caying to Boomer, I think it is time. Thanks for the efforts.
Petrie maybe in a similar position.Add Del Santo to the aging list along with Firrito
Waite I am afraid is far too injury prone for the Roos to hold onto.
Wells is another who is injury prone, but will play on I think.
Maybe Thomas will be given the tap on the shoulder as well.
Players like Ziebell,Swallow,Cunnington, Anderson ,Higgins,Dumont,Atley,Goldstein still hold the strength of the Roos.Add a few mre but that to me is the Roos strength.
It is going to be intersting to see what the Roos decide on about Majak Daw.Will they keep him or will he be stolen from under their noses.
A very aged list that I see being pruned very harshly come seasons end.
A rebuild for the Roos I feel.
Anchor I think Harvey has already signed a contract for 2017?
Yes on second thought, I think you are correct. But I see him as being a bit of a hand break to the club.He has become a receiver and a run around player. Not having the influence he once had.Maybe the penny will drop mid season.
I THINK nORTH WILL BE THE fREO in 2017.
Dal Santo, Petrie, Boomer, Firrito have been told their services are no longer required next year, looks like there going for a rebuild next year.
I find it amazing that North would announce this just before the finals, I’m assuming they will play in the finals? I cant see the sense in telling these players before the finals as they were all after extensions, will they bring their best?
Nothing surprising about those delisted. But as JB said, maybe the timing was not right.
I thought there may have been a few more, but maybe they will come later.
Scott probably knows in his heart of hearts they aren’t flag contenders this year after a terrific start to the season and is giving these players the opportunity to be thanked by their Victorian fan base. Quite likely they won’t play again in Vic this year after this weekend. 4 players with nothing to lose right now, might just put a spring in their step.
Petrie out ,Mayne in!!!
It seems that that is almost a done deal.
You’re a Freo man Anchor. You think this would be a mistake by the Roos?
No, I think if it is a bad move it would be by Mayne himself. He is in need of a change I think. But is North the team for him!!! Who knows.
But he is a better payer than he has shown the last two years. Not sure why.
