50K fine

50K fine, JD resigns…oh deary me…wonder if Belly will pay the fine?

How does that work? They still owe the WAFC a decent chunk of change from when they got bailed out years ago.

Just heard the story on the news. Apparently JD steps down sometime in January.

Not unless they got it waived somehow, perhaps? Nothing would surprise me!

Yep, a severe wrist slapping.

Apparently not. According to The West they still owe $101k as shown in the 2019 annual report. Wind them up I say.

A fine example of a country football club.
Bugger off I say.

I don’t see any mention of it in The Worst but thought I heard on radio they’ve also copped a 16 premiership point penalty to be spread over two years. Perhaps Bazza could confirm that from his other media sources, Facebook, twitter, WAFL club websites…

It’s been a great week in the WAFL. Chickens are coming home to roost for Peel, the two AFL teams and Dorro.

$50k fine, 16 points penalty but all 16 points are held over as suspended penalty if they infringe for a 4th time.
A reduction of 20 player points, 10 of those points held over as a suspended penalty.

They will be subject to 2 financial audits per year via a WAFC appointed auditor plus a few other governance requirements.

This I understand is the 3rd strike for Peelmantle, if so it’s barely a slap on the wrist given the penalties other teams like Swans and Perth suffered for a first offence. This mob should have been deregistered, their zones given back to the clubs who lost those zones and we can then if the eagles piss off, return the traditional 8 team comp with 3 rounds of 7 games.

Wet leaf of lettuce

If memory serves me correctly.
Perth were fined $20k reduced to $10k.
It was a clerical error and not an actual payment.
3rd time for Peel.
They are a protected species.
A Dorrington legacy.

Ah big deal they got busted doing what every club does , payments off the books.

My question is what freo does, surely this can not align with their corporate values.

Ditchburn gone - disgrace.

What a wart of a club.

Those flags are utter BS as well.
