I agree with you DF regarding crowd size something not right with a attendance figures but thats just amateurs at work.
I see the WAFL have finally updated the round one crowd numbers. Total 11,101 with a very good crowd at Bassendean. 3924.

The Football Commission will probably say Swans(amongst others)sent their figures late.
One could say the WAFC AND the Clubs have been handball happy on this matter.
And East Fremantle shouldn’t be immune from this,given they plucked some figures for most of last Season,but haven’t provided any attendances for this Season.
Even a reasonable ball park estimate might suffice here,guys.Just joking here,but give Dougie Walters a call.When people keep coming in,…“one,two,three,…etc”.
Add another 300 from the Colts on Friday Night,who weren’t counted at a locked Turnstile and Outer Gate and you’ll have about 1 500 for the Perth v West Perth Fixture.
Still a disappointing Attendance and illustraties once again,that our Bsndwagon Hoppers from last year,aren’t that really dedicated,z3hen it comes to WAFL Footy!
The only 2 clubs with an average of over 1800 per game in both average & home attendances are SF (2298 - 2650) & SD (2042 - 2643).
SF is understandable being almost undefeated premiers last year & up there again this year but gee us SD fans must be sadists or very loyal, as we are near bottom yet again!

Someone must have heeded my advice on adding the players and others to the roll up through an unattended gate(allegedly).
South v East Fremantle’s Atttendance was downgraded about 300 to the Attendance JL was given on Sport FM during that game’s Broadcast.
How that works,I DO NOT KNOW!
As I mentioned before,looked more like 8 000.
Swans and Perth was one of the few figures about right with 2 035 Attending.Disappointingly short of say 3 000,but Western Australians take fright of even light cloud cover and what potentially was rolling in,put many off.

No idea how you arrived at 8000, it was not even close, been going to that ground for over 50 years and can tell you called it at around 5000 which was bang on my mate a 60 year Fremantle Oval vetran called it as 4500, so you are miles off.
