2026 WAFL Attendances(Watch)

The 60% of Lathlain is an empty space now. One crammed hill on the outter about as big as a front lawn, and a falling down memberstand that was supposed to demolised 6 years ago…

Oh well, the next Coalition Government can blinking well rescind wherever Cook puts Foundation Day and put it back where it belongs.

They should get a 2 House Majority to swing it back.

I’m just happy 2k turned up to the Subi east Perth game. I reckon that was about the right figure. 2 K is a good attendance and reasonable atmosphere. By today’s standards.

I thought next year was the last year?

Next State should FIX that,IF Basil wants a 2 House Majority and Mandate to change it back.

All Cook had to do was reinstate Easter Tuesday,as promised for the EXTRA Public Holiday, nothing else!

But OHHHHHHHH NO!

He had his own bright idea to shunt FOUNDATION DAY off to another day, which I don’t believe was part of his promise, therefore Mandate to change it.

There are other things to NAIL his Government to the wall like HEALTH,LAW and ORDER,the way it deals with local communities,…Brett Christian can tell us all about that, with Terry Redman for some freelance work at The Post.

But with a Warning to the Libs not to go back to the bad old days of Barnett and to DITCH DAP’s!

There!

Now I got that off me chest,Reinstate Foundation Day,Roger!

PERMANENTLY!

Heard on the grapevine the rd 5 matches attracted a total attendance of just over three and a half thousand. A very poor turnout for a full round of fixtures. If that were averaged, it would be a crowd of 700 to 730 per match!

So sad it’s got to this.

That was for 3 games. Does not include the Eagles or Sharks games.

About 3700 for three games according to WAFL website. Still waiting for West Coast v East Perth (probably about 500). East Fremantle ground entry is free and there isn’t an official count. Estimate the crowd was close to 2000. So attendance for the 5 games was probably around 6000! Still disappointing!

Surely they must be keeping count some place?

Agree does not seem to be much drive in the fans, seems the live coverage and ageing support base is taking its toll with many staying home in the comfort of the TV or just falling off the perch….

110 000 Members doesn’t fit into a 60 000 seat Stadium.

Their team don’t always play on Saturday,They’re not all associated with a PFL Club.

They surely can’t be at the Shops AGAIN on a Saturday Arvo, after having already done their shoppjng twice over on Thursday and Friday Nights.

They can’t all be alcoholics, parking their Rear on the Bar Stool.

Junior Footy finishes about 1 latest.

Not every weekend is a novelty weekend like Wallabies,Rugby League State of Origin or a Soccer Marquee Game.

And lastly, not all the husbands are on the punt and go to the Races.

So that should leave about 5 - 10 000 every so often and 1 - 3 000 Dockers free on the same basis.

So what’s stopping them?!

They also should HATE “The Victorian AFL,”

So there’s really NO EXCUSE not to go to the WAFL for such esteemed folk at least 4 or 5 times a year!

…I shouldn’t hold my breath.

There’s plenty of excuses unlike you they’ve got lives.

Oh Yeah,They REALLY LOVE their WESSSTTTERN AUSTRALIAN FOOTY,Eh?!

When the Footy Season is on,what else is there?!

That’s a little bit harsh SMTM,and perhaps a wee bit personal

He strikes me as an old Friend back in the old days of Footygoss,Royalucky.

Or an old sparring partner,…

:upside_down_face:

Bit of harmless banter Old D,between irritable middle aged pseudonym posters, but I used to like the old WAFL online, where there was some colourful interactions.

Interesting comment came up tonight on WAFL World.

Kids entry to games is free, so their numbers are probably not counted.

May account for some of apparent discrepancies.

They are TANKING the Figures, the Football Commission.

All who Attend MUST COUNT in the numbers. It’s Ridiculous if they don’t.

Plus, the numbers drop if there’s no one at the Gate, when the Colts play After the League Game and often!

May be only a few hundred, but it mounts up if Colts are not playing in the Morning on a frequent basis.

Yeah it’s a conspiracy bahaha, all this whinging from you isn’t going to get more people going to the WAFL whether you like it or not most people follow the AFL in this state, it’s just the way the younger generation is.
