The first WAFL Eagle topic

This is a WCE thread a/man…stay on topic please.

Just responding to Grumps post.Still on topic.

When the eagles breathe new life into the Wafl along with the dollars that will follow I’m sure the other Wafl clubs will demand Freo do the same.

Will be the end for peel.

They are going to breathe new life into the WAFL, umm ok then I look forward to seeing that. Probably fitting that they do, after all they are the ones who have sucked the oxygen out of it.

No doubt responses will condemn Fremantle, and rightly so they of course deserve it.

There is a massive eagles fan base in WA who have never been to a WAFL game.

Same people who wouldn’t know a Sherrin from a Burley, that’s right they never have been that’s the point, don’t know what makes you think they are all going to toddle down to watch the WAFL now.

I suspect a lot of eagles supporters who have been born in the 30 years of existence may hardly ever been to a wafl game. Also suspect a lot of eastern states people who have moved west in the last 30 years have not embraced a wafl side.Just a opinion.

You might get a handful of supporters going along to watch the ressies on weekends the Eagles are playing interstate but I would expect their games to have the lowest attendances in the WAFL.

Imagine an eagles v Freo game in the Wafl, u would probably get at least 10k people to it.

Did your finger slip when typing tuggers and accidently hit the “k” button?

Baha, I’m serious…

I don’t doubt your serious, not sure but do you have a WAFL team or are you weagles through and through?

I have followed both Subi and West Perth over the years. Haven’t been to a WAFL league match in probably 15 years but I would go and watch the Wafl eagles v West Perth or Subi. At a local Wafl ground.

Haven’t been to an AFL eagles match in probably 15 years either.

Really, and why is that? You have followed two WAFL teams and haven’t seen either for 15 years, you are a weagle supporter who hasn’t seen them in ‘probably’ 15 years.
So I find it really intriguing that you can’t wait to pop down to ‘a local WAFL ground’ to watch their reserves side.
By the way, will you support Subi or West Perth first? Or will you be throwing your erstwhile, stoic and considered support behind the weagle reserves?

Heavily invested in junior and amateur football which usually dictates my weekends. Grass Roots football is more than enough for me.
However, it would be really easy to stroll down to the arena joondalup to watch the eagles Wafl side which now includes ex juniors I have watched and ammo players I have watched.

The eagles brand is massive, fans will watch regardless.

Why would it be easier to ‘stroll’ down now to the Arena, ex juniors you have watched? Ex ammos you have watched?
Says it all, unholytugbboat , complete and utter plonker.

So u don’t think there will be much interest in an eagles team the general public in the Wafl?

So the Eagles raved and savaged one of the great club as of the WAFL, are all of a sudden the saviour of the WAFL?

One of the biggest brands in Australian football is now playing in the WAFL.

This shit ain’t rocket science. 60’000 + members.

No I actually don’t. Front running supporters at the best of times, let alone their second side playing in a lower comp without home games and not able to qualify for finals.
