2026 WAFL Attendances

I wouldn’t put it past some to try and pull that off, saying 4 rooms could be used and a one off permit all of a sudden could be arranged to fit 10 000.

And you can bet your bottom dollar, every attendee would count,…very convenient.

But I daresay,Fremantle and Leederville would be the main candidates to Host the Grand Final, with arrangements being made to use the old Dockers facilities or Loftus Recreation Centre.

Both would offer Grandstand cover on an appallingly bad day,but so would Bassendean and that would be unfortunately 4th in line and framed out of any deal.

Arena’s undercover facilities only go so far and then the rest are exposed to the elements.Though funnily enough 3 Rooms would be available with WPFC and if need be 2 more made available within the Arena Complex, with negotiations.

Ironic that the one many WAFL Supporters Love to Hate in John Townsend,is the voice of logic and reason, simply pointing out that if a Grand Final between Perth and East Perth eventuated,15 - 20 000 would be locked out of a suburban ground and the cost of Grand Finals on 1 Day at Perth Stadium is easily covered by the WAFC who aren’t exactly short of money.

When Landsmeer was made aware of comments by Townsend,he said he respected what John said, but didn’t agree with him here. But CRUCIALLY,He did not Say WHY?!

That’s easy.He had NO Answer as to Why!

As much as I love the various grounds around the WAFL,they are not fit to host the Biggest Day of the Season and if people are looking for THAT Purpose rebuilt Leederville HQ,FORGET IT because the cost involved prohibits any Government in the current Economic World Climate to do so at Great Cost.

Not even some jokers’ Great WHITE Hope One Nation would touch that with a Barge Pole!

I’m at the aflw derby at Leederville. Massive crowd. Ground is a picture of health. Loss of young families. A wafl gf like this would be pretty good.

The women’s footy has improved and is good to watch but not a patch on the WAFL. It’s not the footy that’s drawing the crowd in, but the contest between two clubs they identify with.

Either that or a lot of Desperados want to see some sort of success for the eagles.

5 711 which is 1 922 more than the Eagles Reserves, got for their Entire Season.

Puts the Eagles Management to Absolute Shame,if you put that 1 Attendance up against their WAFL Home Ground Average!

Further evidence on their Useless Presence in the Competition.

Kyal Horsley must wonder why he’d bother,if his own Club can’t at least muster 1 000 per Home Game,to see his work in progress.

Gee, it felt like more than 6k. The crowd was as young as the WAFL crowd is old.

If that was 6k, 6k would be great at the WAFL. Except for a gf.

Funny thing with the AFL,…they never tank their Attendance figures.

I welcome any evidence to the contrary.

Of course they don’t old mate - Since when have you ever needed evidence grassy…hearsay, anetodes from the the 1970s from some bloke at the Broken Hill, guess work and conspiracy theories are what the AFL base their numbers on.

No.

Quite simply, they count everyone who goes through the Turnstiles at the AFL Games.

The WAFC don’t count freebies,…
