Ok show of hands please. Out of all 3 of you on here which ones went?
Reckon Bazza may have given Saturday a miss, given his love of Lathlain,ā¦

Love to know where EF or the WAFL have suddenly plucked these incredible attendance figures from. Whenever I previously looked at attendances Good Grocer Park was always TBC. Now suddenly they are leading attendances and by some margin the only exception being the recent Fremantle derby at Fremantle Oval which by the way has been revised DOWN from initially I think it was 5300 something down to 4914.
How have they whoever they are, suddenly come up with these great attendance figures given there is no gate takings and the only opportunity for a head count is on game day?
Or are these figures plucked from EFās game day chook raffle where they offer prizes for anyone who buys an online ticket which anyone can buy and doesnāt mean they actually attended the game.
One for John Townsend to investigate. Get onto it John would love to hear an explanation on Saturday morning.
Iām glad someoneās getting that many, but yes,I do wonder about those numbers,as I do the watered down numbers elsewhere.
The original Attendance figure given on the Sport FM Broadcast of The Foundation Day Derby was 5 231.
Not sure if Cam Britt or Peter Christie popped their head in the door to announce that, but good on āem anyway to have that announced!
Imagine my surprise and I daresay a few others, when the new figure popped up of 317 less. How that happened,I do not know.
Imagine our surprise, when a Certain South fellow, usually talking up Southās Proud Attendance records, was Bizarrely talking it down?!
After a bit of to and from,I figured he must have a bad head cold,to be talking South down like that.
Either that,or working as 7WestMediaās chief crowd downsizer,ā¦..sorry,crowd counter?!
Cāmon Bazza,whatās going on here?!
Maybe it was the tunnel in my ears, thinking it was Cam or Peter who gave the Sport FM tip,the Crowd was 317 higher than it turned out to be,ā¦
I guess it was my tunnel vision that pictured 5 231,only for Bazza to talk it down and spurn the idea it might have been more!
I applaud the South fans, who bothered to wonder up Canning or Leach Hwy to get to Lathlain.
Because If they keep forgetting to bypass the old traffic bridge,to head up the Mounts Bay Rd way, they give up in disgust and go home.

EF attendance so far this season Iāve included away games showing vastly less at other away games with the obvious exception of the Fremantle Derby and a good crowd at Basso when Swans were coming off an upset win over Perth.
- away vs Peel 1997
- Home vs Subi 2242
- away vs EP 1041
- away vs CL 959
- Home vs Perth 2367
- away vs SD 1951
- Home vs WCE 2607

- away vs SF 4914
- Bye
- Home vs WP 2257
- away vs Subi 1186
- Home vs CL 1890
I challenge any others to put up their clubs attendance records which now seem to have a figure for all games. I imagine Swannies supporters rate their attendance as the best.
EF attendance so far at 5 home games 11,363 at an average of 2272.6. I dare say they top the averages. Where are they getting these figures from with no gate? AI?
Figure number 7(quite fitting given the opposition)is most intriguing,ā¦..
Did West Coast supporters pop up out of nowhere?Or just appreciate the Free Entry?
Yep itās a joke.
I guess everyone is a tight arse at heart, and will take up a freebie when on offer. Canāt imagine many opposition fans entering the EF virtual chook raffle TBH.
True, folk may enter and not attendā¦.I guess no different to fans buying a membership and not going, because they live rural or overseas. Who really cares who tops the attendance ladderā¦.itās the playing ladder that only counts come end of the day.
I guess RnB next time you pop into Belgravia to take your annual snaps of the clubs mediocre facilities, knock on the door, and ask Bromage or Woey to answer your query. They were happy to chat when I popped in last Dec for a look.
So you would have seen the sad state the playing surface was which was not fit for purpose. When you popped your head in the door did you ask Bromage and Woey the hard questions such as playing surface, fences and gate takings or just stuck your head in the door to shoot the breeze and reminisce about the good old days?
While itās not important whoās on top of the attendance ladder it is important to have some sort of accuracy. If recent attendances are accurate at all other grounds then itās cause for concern I would think.
Who plays on it in December? So yeah might not be up to WCE funded MRP playing surface specsā¦ā¦but TBH who drinks in the pig pen in Decemberā¦..as that area looked pretty run down in December, when I popped in for a look.
Take some pics for me now RnB, and letās compare them to your Dec photo album. As long as the ground is fit for purpose now, then whatās your beef with GGP? Free entry, place to walk the hound, have a feed, and a drink, plus watch some WAFLā¦..geez sounds like bliss to meā¦ā¦
Yeh living out of Ritaās purse of tax payer money. Sounds like bliss to me. And howād your pre season training go? Heard you suffered a heap of injuries hence your reserves getting pummeled week in week out.
East Fremantle must have supplied the attendance figures Iād have thought? Maybe a phone call to their footy club office to enquire could be an idea?
If itās all wine and roses at East Freo, then maybe they can provide somewhere for oppo supporters to sit. Given the WAFL supporter demographic, itās not ideal having to stand the entire match or sit on the grass 60 meters from the action looking into the setting sun.
Well Jacob can get Adrian on the show tonight hopefully and give us an explanation for the emergence of these terrific attendances at the Good Grocer Park. Imagine when gates are installed theyāll be able to start paying off the public tab.
Following on from my post regarding EF 2026 attendance figures we might as well do all clubs.
Swan Districts round:

Total at home 13,269 at an average of 2211.5 over 6 games. Just under EF average which is very interesting.
Yeah but EF oval isnāt just exclusively for EFFC is it? Because if it was then, they would charge the folk for using the bowling club, croquet club, fitness facilities, Carnabys etc, fudge even the dog walkers or the kids for using the swingsā¦. Pretty sure itās a community facility for one n allā¦.yeah funded by Ritaās purseā¦..but isnāt that how community facilities work?
Geez you talk some shit. Your club was delayed by what a whole season and a half from playing on there because some halfwit decided to plant runners instead of laying turf and ended up riddled with beatles and other problems. So itās never been close to a good surface and my point was your club should have been pushing to have it repaired immediately after last season ended because it was shite including the day of the elimination final. There was better grass on the outer.
South Fremantle attendances 2026.

Total home attendance 12,520 at an average of 2504 over 5 home games. Obviously the Derby pumps it up and Iām guessing the top average attendance at home so far.
I would of thought since Ritaās purse was apparently involved, surely that is a question for Rita, not the EFFC?
