When you press enter it immediately makes a line break. I was going to do my ladder predictions and there’s a line break in between.
Now when seeing who has liked instead of in the message at the bottom it’s now at the bottom of the page and when you click on it it opens the whole profile of the member.
Thanks for flagging these - both are worth raising.
The enter key behaviour is a known change in a recent Discourse update, where they shifted to treating Enter as a line break rather than sending. You can use Shift+Enter as a workaround if you want to add line breaks mid-message, and Enter to submit. Annoying if you’re used to the old way, totally get it.
The likes display change is also on their end - the behaviour of showing likers at the bottom of the page and linking to full profiles rather than a quick inline list is something a few communities have flagged. I’ll look into whether there’s a setting we can adjust to bring back the old inline view.
Appreciate you taking the time to report it rather than just suffering in silence.
From memory pressing Enter didn’t serve to submit a post, it just put the cursor to the next line, now it makes a line break. Take a look at 2026 ladder predictions. You can see older ones each team was under the other, now there’s a line break.
Another new annoying problem is once you start a post you can’t open another tab on your browser. So very annoying because you often want to open another web page somewhere to check facts you are writing about.
Any chance admin you could fix the glitch in the quote function? Here is a screenshot showing the result. Have tried unsuccessfully on at least half a dozen times on different topics and another member has complained of the quote function not working.
What the hell has happened? Suddenly opened up to AFL finals fixtures and have to scroll way down to find WAFL and anything else. I thought you hated the VFL?
Fair call, and noted. We launched a new front page yesterday that’s aimed at new visitors finding the site, and it shouldn’t have been what the regulars landed on. That’s now fixed. If you’re logged in you’ll get the normal forum front page like before (you might need to refresh once).
Things are changing a bit around the site at the moment. We’re putting real time and money into improving it for everyone, WAFL and SANFL very much included, so keep the feedback coming. It helps.
