When you press enter it immediately makes a line break. I was going to do my ladder predictions and there’s a line break in between.
Now when seeing who has liked instead of in the message at the bottom it’s now at the bottom of the page and when you click on it it opens the whole profile of the member.
Thanks for flagging these - both are worth raising.
The enter key behaviour is a known change in a recent Discourse update, where they shifted to treating Enter as a line break rather than sending. You can use Shift+Enter as a workaround if you want to add line breaks mid-message, and Enter to submit. Annoying if you’re used to the old way, totally get it.
The likes display change is also on their end - the behaviour of showing likers at the bottom of the page and linking to full profiles rather than a quick inline list is something a few communities have flagged. I’ll look into whether there’s a setting we can adjust to bring back the old inline view.
Appreciate you taking the time to report it rather than just suffering in silence.
From memory pressing Enter didn’t serve to submit a post, it just put the cursor to the next line, now it makes a line break. Take a look at 2026 ladder predictions. You can see older ones each team was under the other, now there’s a line break.
Another new annoying problem is once you start a post you can’t open another tab on your browser. So very annoying because you often want to open another web page somewhere to check facts you are writing about.
