WA Cricket team 25-26

close to half the day wasted at 40 overs
not even 90 runs
absolute and utter garbage style that won’t win anything
well other than a wooden spoon anyway

Slow is as slow as…why didn’t someone tell the top 3 it’s a whiteball match, just using a red ball to take the mick…

MCG has been a slow scoring pitch all summer, I wonder if there is plenty of movement or the drop in wicket is dead and there is no bounce or pace in the wicket

and Victoria just canter along to 0-51
sums it up pretty easily that

Yup i stand corrected

TBH Victoria’s bowling attack is far better than WA’s…Gannon, Crouch and Haskett…pretty sure none would be playing if Morris, Richardson, Paris and Kelly were available or fit…

Another crap batting performance to add to the collection. Think the players have checked out of the season playing for a coach that is not going to be around soon

you know I look the start of this season when the wankers let Hoogenboezem walk to South Australia
kept two deadset lifeless zombies to open yet again
now we struggle to make 100 in half a day and have to watch that Bancroft selfishly take up half that just doing nothing
now we’ll probably have import someone to open

O’Neill, Murphy and Sutherland are missing for the Vics, so nowhere near their top attack either but still was enough to account for a fragile batting line up

True, a couple of those WA treble winning folk have fallen off that cliff very quickly…

Its a team that is happy with its lot in cricket life (after the success earlier in the decade).
Sadly Voges leaving legacy is to continue to play these hopelessly out of form veterans like Whiteman and meanwhile I can see the likes of young bats in Wyllie, Fanning, Wasley & co all seeking greener pastures next season as a result!

Agree.

Though, whilst not knowing what the going rate in Pennant Cricket is,I’d hate to see Fanning head off Interstate from Fletcher Park, especially to NSW.

Good to see Aaron Hardie with a half century yesterday. His performances have fallen away a lot over the last year or two. He was on the fringes of Australian selection after our Sheffield Shield 3 peat

I notice that the vics have now batted for 48 overs and have only scored 128 runs, as i said earlier I think the pitch is contributing to such grinding cricket as well as some of the other things raised

BH if Voges is leaving and won’t be here for 26/27, why would those guys you mention leave?..yes if Voges was staying then yeah can see them going…but he is not…though it all depends on who takes over I guess…who would be intetested?

Sam Whiteman WTF are you doing mate? Stop scoring these runs, let us WA fans put a fork in you, and be done with you…and your mate Bangers.

About time Sam put an Innings together,Freeze.
If he can keep going for a big score, that would be even better.
First to get us out a mess,we’re still in,then to see if WA can build a substantial lead of 250,before challenging the Vics to go for it!

Isn’t today the last day? The Vics are the only team who can win from here

The lead is now 107 with Whitman and Cartwright still at the crease.

Not sure what Target we intend to set the Vic,but love to know how much Spin this Wicket is taking, for Roccicioli to do some Serious damage in the 2nd Innings.

That was a terrific hundred by Whiteman today but that loss puts a line through WA for the season. I’d like to see the selectors give a few new batsmen a go when the Shield (finally) returns in Feb.
