Also good crowd,
Well Swans supporters I donât want to say I told you so, but I did predict this.
TV commentator reckoned 1000 in the can bar lol. More like 200 but still a pretty healthy crowd by the looks.
Sorry Royals,I Jinxed yers,âŠ

A lot more than 200 itâs been extended. I would say between 600 to 800 hundred. Macdonalds stand on a fine day had a good crowd and members outside area was well populated.
2018 total attendance apparently but these figures have been known to change.
Way more than that imho!
Iâm hoping it was.
Looked like a few healthy gatherings at Bassendean Oval today.
Wish I wasnât but looks like my call about us royals losing a close one was right..we have too many injuries to our key players but credit to swans as they could have knocked us off earlier this year when we were only missing a couple..I think swans will be there abouts next season and whilst I hate playing swans at basso because we lose most times, the support and ground itself for you blokes is brilliant
I wonât tell you what the crowd estimate was in the Worst. But Iâm sure you can imagine. Ok just read the crowd estimate at Good Grocer.
Basso 1000
Good Grocer 2500
Carnabyâs must have been heaving.

Saying a 1,000 at Bassendean is ridiculous. Just makes them look silly. Be going a long time at that crowd was way more than 1,000
Yep could live with a 1500 estimate but seems a bit ridiculous. Official crowd 2018 but as I said that can change either way for some reason.
Finally.
I said to a mate at quarter time that Trew hadnât really stepped up to show his best since his return to the club; well, that comment was discussed at half-time. What a second quarter from no. 9 and his teammates.
When was the last time Swansâ ruck was on top against quality opposition? The Impey and Jones contest was worth the $20 entry fee alone, but it was Trew, Loftus, and Cipro taking advantage of taps from Impey and Ernst that got Swans the drive. I liked the application of muscle from Ernst.
Not being able to clearly identify playersâ numbers due to the white numbers on light green made you realise that we have many players that look the same. I thought Hewitt had 50 kicksâŠ
Jesse Turner should give it up or stop demanding the ball at all times. His disposal is poor at best.
Hayward done a knee.
Best performance of the season by a long way. For once against East Perth we had the big men to compete with Jones and therefore our mids had many more opportunities. The Royals were obviously undermanned albeit the same side that beat Perth by 8 goals last week.
5 games to go and hopefully we can see more performances like this. Finals are long gone but with 4 games coming up against teams competing for spots in the top 5, Swans have a chance to influence this battle with a few more upsets
Exactly what I thought about your jumpers what a mess and Turner loves the short pass doesnât he mind you heâs no orphan in todayâs game.
Shame to hear about Hayward hope nothing too serious.
Great effort to hold on I thought EP were looking like winners but your boys found a way. A couple of crucial umpiring decisions in the goal square at either end went your way.
Good result for us Perth supporters hopefully our boys can do the job today.
Footnote: our jumpers last week I thought were a bit of a mess.
Not being critical of any trainer group, given I know a few from various Clubs including ourâs,but why was Simmo allowed to hobble off the field unassisted?
Unless his injury is not as bad as first feared.I sure hope heâs ok!
Well played, Swans, your boys had far too much run and endeavour for my beloved Royals.
Swansâ 53 inside-50s to the Royalsâ 30 indicates that the final margin flattered EP.
Impey and Ernst certainly give Swans a physical presence that youâd perhaps been lacking.
Thanks Archie, hope you can get some of your injured players back soon
Thanks, Mike, I think EP will need a good injury run if weâre to even make the finals.
If the Royals do manage to sneak into the five and we have somewhere near our best list, we might do some damage given that we have a lot of big-game experience.
However, itâs increasingly looking like Peel versus ??? on September 20.
All the very best to Swans for the rest of 2026 and I hope you upset a few more finals contenders in the process.
