The Worst Team in the PFL…

There once was a Colts side so grim

Every match looked hopeless for them

For thirteen hundred days

They’ve found brand new ways

To continue to lose and look dim

Bit harsh to be calling them the worst side in the PFL, given they do play in the top level of colts.

It is a bit concerning that they haven’t won a colts game since 2023, the implications this would have for their talent pipeline down the track could be significant.

They do however have a league team often sitting around the top and have significantly improved in their reserve ranks if the start of 2026 is anything to go by.

They aren’t the worst?

You mean we have other teams in the PFL which haven’t won a game since July 30th 2022?

Dreadful colts but a stacked league team, how could this be… $$$

They used to have a strong colts program and have a very strong junior club (won the y11/12 comp last year) feeding in.

Curious as to how this doesn’t transpire into a decent colts side. Their league team are looming as premiership favourites this year.

When was the last season they were competitive in the colts? And when were they a strong colts program - were they still in B or C1?

2025 10th 0 wins 16%

2024 10th 0 wins 14%

2023 10th 0 wins 36%

2022 10th 2 wins 41%

2021 7th 5 wins 87%

2020 5th 5 wins 84%

2019 10th 0 wins 29%

2018 9th 3 wins 55%

Kingsway’s Yr11/12 may have won the GF last year but it was the 3rd or 4th Yr11/12 division playing against several other clubs second sides.

Thank you Tiger_Tales

All we know is they haven’t been any good in 1363 days and counting…

And still paying BIG $$$ to get A grade players but not caring that the other grades get walloped every week. At least the other clubs playing BIG $$$ for A Grade players also care about the development of their Ressies and Colts.

Looks like their reserves aren’t faring much better. Curious what motivation there’d be for the ressies and colts to keep rocking up and getting smashed every week.

Are the league players homegrown?

@1300andCounting not looking good for Kingsway colts with another 100+ point loss.

Kingsway not fielding any teams in the Metro North Yr11/12 competitions this season reads for an even bleaker future. Do you need to have a colts team to be an A Grade club under PFL rules?

Third week in a row losing by 100 +

Percentage of 9

You’d have to wonder if the drive to Baldivis next week would be worth it.

A Ridiculous Situation for any Club to reflect on!

No you do not … they changed the rules when Maddington made A Grade.

Unsure if you are saying, outside clubs looking in and commenting is ridiculous or you are hoping for some self reflection from the aforementioned club in question.

How about the kids who are copping these Losses without much help from their Club?!

Is that worth reflecting on,or should they just be left to cop more of these hidings, with little enjoyment for them?

They may as well walk out to another Club with some sort of chance of Winning, let alone be competitive!

Perhaps a bit of clarity around the situation you seem hell bent on bringing up each week. Over the last 5 - 10 years, the feeder suburbs around Kingsway (Landsdale / Darch / Alexander Heights / Madeley etc) have seen a massive change in the residents moving to the area with a lot of these families having preferences to Soccer / Basketball etc for their Children as opposed to AFL, which has seen the numbers decline at the Kingsway JFC especially in the older age groups (as mentioned in previous posts). The current Colts team is made up of the majority of the Yr11/12 side that won the GF last year with the downside being you have a team full of 18 years old’s who are competing against most clubs whose colts sides are 19/20 year old’s - A tough ask in anyone’s language however i am led to believe that the current Colts coach is in for the long-term and understands that their will be some pain but i also believe he has had the commitment from this group to stick together moving forward over the next couple of years when the improvement will hopefully come through. A Grade colts is a tough gig especially competing against the Uni clubs that always seem to have an endless supply of talent coming through as well as the clubs like NB & OR that are in a demographic of very big junior feeder clubs that assist each year. Kingsway know where they stand and are taking the steps to hopefully improve moving forward in what is one of the hardest grades to compete in (A Grade Colts) - FYI, i am close to a parent involved with the colts who keeps me updated. Finally, some of these comments are being made by the usual keyboard warriors without knowing what is going on behind the scenes by the club There is a care factor by the whole club to improve the current situation so perhaps unless you know exactly what is happening, best keep your cheap shots and suggestions to yourself!

It’s interesting that you frame this like it’s a recent or short-term issue when, in reality, this has been going on for years as outlined before.

I mentioned Declining numbers in the last 5 - 10 years hardly frames it as a short term issue but hey if you enjoy bringing it up each week then good for you, go for it

From Kingsway’s 2025 Colts Squad there’s been a heap of players who are still colts age move to other clubs - Kingsley being the biggest beneficiary.

There’s a number not playing at all but that happens at all levels of footy and not is such big numbers that its unusual. And a few that have graduated into senior footy

But there are at least 10 who played KIngsway colts last season who are still playing colts with a number who also played reserves last year so confused by your comment @sneaky_101 that Kingsway have a team full of 18 year olds

Looking at last weeks team its easy to see that theres a lot of players in their 3rd and some their 4th season of PFL colts, lots who look like theyve doubled up between Kingsway Juniors Yr11/12 and Colts for a season or 2 before having another 2 years in Kingsway colts.
