Perth 2025

[quote=“Time For a Flag post=239157 userid=1037”]Russell officially gone. I feel bad for him. Hope he is all right financially.

Why wouldn’t he be?

Ted I liked the look of Broadbent when we tried to get him previously.
He was highly regarded as a junior.
He went back home to Collie (DD), I think and played for the Eagles in the SWFL and he had a pretty good season.
He is only 20 so happy to give him a chance.
Only played 4 league games so shouldn’t cost too many points. So, he won’t be a 10-point reserves player.

Randall and Culley would be good pick ups IMHO.

Well I reckon it would be pretty tough on any 55 year old to suddenly get sacked from their job. I imagine that there aren’t too many administrative jobs around that he can just walk into. We all get used to our expenditures and he probably had planed to work in the role for another 5 years.

I’d be happy with Culley and Randall. However, The West seemed confident that Culley will get an AFL lifeline, most likely from NM.

Trumped again aye Ted?

Culley did his ACL in 2023 so maybe that works in our favour. The West is always pumping up players from WA even though he’s a Victorian he has been an Eagles player so naturally they try to help them get another opportunity. Good luck to him but if he couldn’t hold down a regular game in the Eagles side then?? Toweled us up in Northam that hurt so all is forgiven if he becomes a Demon.

I see that Dempster-Park has gone off the list again. It seems he won’t be playing for Perth again next year.
He’s a classic example of why we can’t keep colts players. This year we saw some promising debuts by former colts Scoble, Watson, Hyne-Bastin and Cachard. However Dempster-Park I think was playing amateurs after a very good season in the colts in 2023.

And, of course, he’s now on Claremont’s list.

So what, and Conrad Williams is on your list.

Think you’re ahead there

Brendan Parfitt from Geelong Cats has landed on the list

Dempster Park came from Swanbourne Junior FC apparently.

Senior Football seems to have disappeared from the PFC website.
I assume this is a temporary update thing.

Seems Parfitt may be a good pick up.

!!!

He’d be the best player in the WAFL.

What list is he on?

PFCs

Yep. It looks as though Perth have picked him up after he was delisted by Geelong at the end of this season. If correct and he doesn’t get an AFL lifeline somewhere else, that’s a great get.

Long time Geelong supporter here- he’s a fantastic pick up

I don’t know how we picked up a gun recruit like him with the 3 game deficit hanging over our head.
Maybe it was helped by the Constable and Simpson presence.

Don’t forget Schlensog. Might have to change our name to the Perth Cats. Parfitt would be the most experienced of the 4 former Geelong players so maximum points there you think. Hopefully Culley and Randall to follow.
