Fix PFC Zone

Perth have no chance to be a consistently competitive club.

TT is one of the dumbest and nastiest planks of wood to ever post on here

PFC have no issue whatsoever getting AFL blokes to come back, cook, army, Changa, Leon, dion wtf are you on about.

Our second tier players??? What everyone other than our star recruits??

We are the outliers not Claremont you dunce.

Interesting, given you’ve resorted to posting abusive comments - not the first time from you either.

How many Perth players have been drafted to AFL over the last 25 years and how many have returned?

Hopefully the Perth football department doesn’t have the same defeatist attitude - if they do then you’re really stuffed.
How did Perth get Avery from Claremont? He was almost their best colt last year …what was it…33 disposals in the GF in 2020.

I’d be playing him league right now from what I’ve seen.
LaH you are presuming he is allowed to play league.

This is the meeting of football department at Claremont.

Ok what should we do this year…

Umm let’s play some talented kids from our zone, there’s like a million of them.

But a couple went to Perth.

Ha. Let them eat cake.

But we’ll need some recruits surely.

Ok get some good ones, offer them a good white collar job, guaranteed finals and a house by the sea.

Onto it.

Chardonnay anyone??

Don’t mind if I do.

Honestly STD, you really do have a happy knack of making yourself look like a frigginn immature idiot. Is this the best you can add to your argument?

He is an overage colts player mate…Perth don’t even need to ask for any clearance…19 already

I’ve been defending perth all thread but…

They knew they were losing McDonald and Delahunty…big forwards that you can drive long to.

Who did they recruit?

Apologies for jumping the gun there STT…looks like my prediction for a Perth colts win was definitely premature…as for being a smart arse, pretty sure EF colts haven’t beaten Perth’s for about 2 years…no mean feat considering the depth of EF metro and country zones…and considering Perth have finished above EF in the league for a few years now, I am surely the last person to knock the PFC…

Oh mate…that will sort the hole. Good grief.

But honestly who are your prime recruits this year? I don’t know, I’m out of the loop

Who did Claremont recruit???

Why should we always have to recruit and recruit well to be competitive??

PS oh and 58shark, I’m not as upset as all that. I actually barrack for Claremont in the reserves and we had a good win!! Like why would anyone assume that cos I barrack for PFC senior side that I also barrack for their twos???

apart from Claremont, we all have to recruit…even Claremont have Bolton… a handy player it must be said

Danny Bandy

Daniel Bandy, the only player who has not come back to PFC, come on Ark, you can do better.

La Hincha, yes all clubs recruit but two things:

 1. Hard to get blokes to a club that is always struggling;
 2. Would be nice to breed a few ourselves now and again.

It’s the same argument just dressed up different.

In fact PFC does a pretty good job with recruiting with what it has to sell. Like our last 4 sandover medallists. Thats right we have not had a home grown since Bryan Cousins.

Any other zone which has failed to produce a sandover medallist in last 40 years?? And he wouldn’t even be in our zone now!!!

People really do not know how hard it is to follow PFC given the things lined up against us and the different ways of measuring how shit our on field performance is.

Just imagine going for a club, plAying for a club over last 40 years and looking back and having nothing to celebrate. And knowing it is all because of factors totally out of your control.

We have a bad zone and cannot compete against the rest of the competition with it.

But sure yuk it up TT and F. Abuse me 58. Have a sly dig LH.

Stt: only mentioned him in relation to CL., getting him over from the PFC.

I know Ark but for some will feed into idea we don’t work hard enough to get afl players back to PFC.

Would never have go at you mate.

Please people read my post above.

We didn’t have time to recruit a key forward after Essendon drafted Waterman and Busher left.

If your not moving forward in footy, you’re going backwards - everyone needs to recruit!

But we did recruit Watson, Treacy, Patmore and Carter back to the club.

You’ve avoided answering the question STD, but how many of your AFL draftees have returned to play at Perth over the last 25 years? How many have returned to play at another WAFL club?

And we rarely drink a chardonnay at our football department meetings…we like to pair an appropriate wine with the meal served and generally select an SSB rather than a chardonnay with seafood.

Mate can you invite some guests? Some of us wouldn’t mind a bite to eat with food and beverage of that calibre

Yuk it up TT. Miserable.

This thread is about the lack of depth in a low socio economic zone. Drag all the red herrings across our path you like TT. Low socio economic factors produce poor outcomes.

For example PFC on field performance.

You haven’t put up an argument against that proposition, nor are you likely to be able to.

For what it’s worth, TT, we haven’t done that badly in getting delisted players back to the club. The problem has been that they are not that good, or don’t hang around long. From our current list there is Colledge, McInnes, and Taylor x 2. In recent years, Clem Smith, Narrier, Bateman, Cook, Davis, Dick, Woods, Armstrong, Taylor-Thompson, Damon White, MacDougall. Mzungu signed before getting re-drafted. Other clubs - not C of course - have had their own struggles getting players back, with the likes of Newton, Litherland, Jones, Masten, Lockyer, Marsh, Kommer. However, what we need is what Subi more than most have managed - to get a bunch of players who are mid 20s and still switched on. For us, Dick, Woods, Smith, Narrier weren’t motivated, White couldn’t get on the park, and Bateman and Cook tried hard but were well past their best.
