Comments anyone?
For once,I am in the corner of New South Wales who were pulling Cricket Australia up on this.
Not that THAT Mob at CA are listening to them, walking back on the Unanimous clause required for BBL to be sold to new owners of the Teams in Australia’s 20/20 Competition.
And when Tradtional Test Season gets moved around to suit the new owners of this scenario,I will Direct my attention to Pennant and Park Cricket, when this ABOMINATION gets played on Boxing Day.
I hope the Australian Cricketing Public gives them Crickets of the grasshopper variety!
I know what you are talking about, but have not seen what the NSW cricket are having to say.
If it is about the CA selling out to the IPL, then surely ALL States would be in agreanace.
Yes,it bothers me they are falling into line with Cricket Australia, before getting the full picture on how selling the franchises is going to work.
Explain that to Cricket Fans around Australia before selling the Cricket Blood Bank to Dracula.
Maybe those people should explain how their major presence here, benefits Australian Cricket in the short and long term.
?!
@oledemonbod101 As much as it is popular, the BBL has to me any way, destroyed the continous af the Sheffield Shield season.
How are up coming players expected to show real cricket form all season if they have a long break during the Summer of cricket.
And if they do sell, will the Scorcher fans still turn up in the numbers as now, or will they refuse to sponsor a large franchise!
The BBL is a big enough problem in itself, but I’ll take the lesser of 2 Evils between them and the IPL.
The simple reason Cricket Australia are doing this are the Finances of Australian Cricket.Otherwise, they should not be giving this course of action a second’s thought.
But the IPL are the ones looking to buy the BBL.
Yeah and CA are only too happy to SELL IT!
The IPL is about to do what Victoria have done to football
eradicate everything else that is and could be a threat
India believe that all Australians watch the IPL fervently
large portions of Indians living in Australia do just that
it’s just another form of a make believe fairytale sport
designed for reality TV and sponsors to dob sugary icing upon
