Will the Sharks finally bite the Lion ???

With Subi having such a great run against the Sharks could this be the game that helps the Sharks come of age ??? Subi’s win against the Royals was solid without being spectecular so they’ll have to lift big time to beat them on their home ground - Who will win ??? Subi players rise big time every game against the Sharks and there’s always a player for Subi who put’s up their hand and has a day out !!!
Can a player do it again ???

The Sharks look way better than Subi on paper with Subi having a few to come back hopefully in a month or two - So now is a great chance for a win to the Blue and Whites. A loss again to Stavro and the Sharks may self destruct ???

The Sharks for me and if they get a sniff of blood it could get ugly as there’s 14 losses to get over in this game !!!
They’re due for a good win after getting upset by the Swannies followed by a win against Peel who they traditionally struggle to get over.

But I hope I’m wrong. The Sharks supporters should come out in force for what is always a good tight game and more supporters can only help their cause.

See you in the Shark Pit - I could get mobbed if Subi win and mobbed if Subi loose ???

No I hope not. I’m going to tip Subiaco to win narrowly. If memory serves me correctly Subiaco won all 3 matches in twenty twelve by 3 goals or less. Having said that, should be a good game.

I think it will be the Sharks easilly. What’s the condition of that paddock they call a footy oval? Do they want me to bring the Header down?

OSG what do you want for dinner mate?..I guess with Subi playing their bunnies the EF boys will be laying on a all you can eat buffet…I have a few ladies willing to serve up the grub!

If Sinclair out EF by 5 goals with Brad Dick doing what Pickett did every year to EF…if Sinclair in then Subi by 3 goals again!!!

Flake and chips thanks

Both played Subi as there last game of the year in 1986?

Sinclair is a massive out for us b ut the Gummies have a few quality players out as well. chance for Dave Madut to step up and make an impression, young and raw so there should not be too much pressure put on the lad, but has huge potential.

Forward line was by all accounts much better last week and the backds as solid as ever but the opposition this week is on paper much stronger even tho they have a few quality outs. If our mids can step up another notch to cover for the loss of Sinclair we should be right in the hunt. been 10 years since the Gummies beat us on their own dungheap, this is their best chance, should be a great contest.

Shame we lose Sinca’s but whish the boy every success with the eagles, he deserves his oppportunity. It’s been a long road since being dropped from Port melbourne on the eve of their GF win 2 years ago.

Agree Gull the Sharks have a few more better players out than Subi (remembering we have a few handy players out with injury ourselves) but that’s the way footy goes - nobody will give a shit once the teams run out there. The Sharks players coming up from their ressies have been impressive and will be keen to get their hands on it. Sharks still look better on paper I feel and the mids for us still worry me. Sinclair out won’t be a massive blow as the Sharks aren’t too strong in the ruck dept at the moment. He will be a big loss up forward though as he would have been hard to match up on with Brown out aswell. Best of luck to him though as we can’t build a team around him anymore like we did with Rix previously as he’s gone next year. Good chance for others to show us what they got ???

Which ever team can produce a stand-out forward (or forwards)on the day will win I feel and if Subi don’t get their share of the ball from the mids we have a few we can rotate through and hopefully a couple can do the job to match it with the Sharks ???

I think the Sharks by 4 goals but would love to be wrong !!!
PS - Hope our run can continue ???

Gee - Yes 4got about that - Did he also play for or get drafted by Sydney ???
Not many AFL games I think ???

Yes true and I was fortunate to be there for both games - The one against East was personally far more enjoyable but the standard of both games was great and Subi could have easily beaten a full strength Premiership Hawks line-up that year.

It just goes to show how powerfull and talented the WAFL was before the AuFL came in. I have mentioned on a previous topic some time ago that the Subi and East line-up of 1986 could have easily matched it with any of the VFL teams back then and both teams were made up mostly of local players.

Just heading home to pre heat the oven

Entree: Lion souffle
Mains: Broiled Seagull with arrogance sauce
Deserts: Apple & $ubi pie
And of course, washed down with a couple of glasses of Scabi whine.

After today, the point I was getting at is no longer relevant!!

We had an unfair advantage mate - you should have taken the header down, then Subi would have won
