Absolutely DG, the Gummies were very good, heaps of pace and worked much harder on the spread when they got the pil, but most of the damage they did was feeding off our endless run of stuff ups. For long periods all the Sharks boys had to do was get in some space and it was inevitable that we would fumble or miss kick the ball straight to them, some due to good pressure but most due to incompetence.
Randy, Mahoney, Brissy and big Seva had a go but not many others and our much vaunted fitness improvement failed to appear once again. Surprised they didn’t give Madut a go, he like Seva is the future for our bigs, sadly Sinclair will be an eagle or a feral come 2014.
Hard to guage how good the Gummies are coz we were sooo bad, but at this very early stage it’s looking like Claremont, daylight then Perth, Joondy & EF the other 5 are looking quite ordinary.
I notice that KT had 29 possessions again.
How did he go?

He played well - good disposal which we lack but he wasn’t super damaging.
Put it this way - We would be in a lot more shit if he wasn’t playing
I thought our work rate and intensity at the ball was ok…we were let down by our skill level. I lost count of the number of turnovers due to poor disposal by hand and foot…also our decision making was pretty ordinary.
