Wc recruit Ash Johnson has pulled the pin and gone to Sturt
Home factor or something not right at West Coast?
Plenty not right at West CoastâŚat WAFL level theyâre not a club, just a bunch of fringe AFL players and top up list players that get thrown together on weekends. Itâs soulless for the top up players.
Time for the WAFC to grow a pair and end West Coasts WAFL team and also Freos alignment with Peel.
Itâs detrimental to the WAFLâs integrity and spreads the talent pool too thin. A 10 team comp hasnât eliminated byes, instead we start the season too early to accommodate the byes and the Reserves and colts comp gets butchered as the result.
Well the Byes will still be with us,even if Peel Divorce Fremantle, which those 2 making it plain, they are going on for another 5 Seasons.

West Coast STILL INSIST their Method is Best, which mind you, might work better with any further concessions granted.
They STILL INSIST on early start times for their Home Games and even if they were more Serious about what their WAFL Team does, the frequent early starts ainât exactly encouraging families to attend,if theyâre still busy on Saturday Mornings with Junior Footy.
Them,Freo and 7 Playing us for Mugs in making promises they were never going to keep,in improving the Patronage and Profile of the WAFL,does nothing but damage to the 140 year old Competition.
Not sure when they intend to p*ss off from the Competition, but I fear the damage to the WAFL if they do go,might be beyond repair!

Then again,if we donât SHUT our Border to NIpah Virus, starting with South/East Asia, none of the above will really matter!

So, because the alignment between Peel and Fremantle is success and the other mob a failure on many fronts, the alignment has to stop. You bewilder me. Remember the other mob almost killed East Perth. How many times have they reneged on the WAFL.
They are shit so Peel and Fremantle suffer!! Sounds about right in thiscweird world at the moment.
Apart from a few onfield Flags, what has it delivered Peel?
Has it cleared their Debt?
YET?
Has it improved Attendances for Peel, when Fremantle arenât even playing Saturday or the Weekend,if at all?!
All that Online support for Peel, after the 2024 Grand Final, didnât really translate to better support for a Club that still has to beat back calls for their removal, even now unfortunately.
Itâs a bit of a catch 22 scenario for them I concede, but I still think if Peel sells itself more to the region, they can be in the Competition for a long time to come, even without Fremantle, who to be quite frank, donât exactly advertise their WAFL partner to any great degree,or any LONG TERM EFFECT!
Or should I say Wannabe AFL House Suits!
Same applied to St Kilda, when they Arrogantly demanded Sandringham change their guernseys to that of the Saints. They somehow thought the Late Trevor Barker connection would clinch it,but Sandy said NO,thank heavens!
Peel wasnât brought into the competition to support Fremantle, and ultimately neither Freo or West Coast have won an AFL premiership whilst theyâve had a stand alone team or an alignment so how would Freo or WC be disadvantaged if they were required to distribute their players across the WAFL with WA draftees tied to their club of origin and interstate recruits dispersed in a WAFL draft.
The only club benefitting is Peel, whilst the traditional WAFL clubs suffer.
And even the benefit there is pretty tenuous.
People, well may the Yellas won a flag for EP, but how many times have the league been screwed by them.
I get the feeling that some are closey Yellas supporters and prepared to have amnesia over there wrongs.
I ainât one of em and again, whilst they might be attached to West Coast, there are many there that would never rock the AFL Boat, preparing for life at AFL House, ever eager to please, now and then!
Is there a moderator who can clean this shit up?
Read the topic.
It all started with some guy guy called. Johnson leaving West Coast,âŚ.
One of the biggest myths, induced by sour grapes, was that Kane Munro,David Antonowicz,Jeremy Humm David Haynes and Josh Wooden won us the 2000 and 2001 premierships, which was restricted to interstate recruits, from a West Coast side languishing at the bottom.
How did the Tigers go when they had all these players at their disposal in their FULL Eagles alignment in 1999??Obviously not too well,as they ditched it after one year, and Tony Micale was the biggest contributing factor of our success, and keeping him for 1 more year after the alignment, was a major factor in completing a hatrick, against the Jerkers in 2002, in front of the biggest crowd this century.
So where did those other Eagles play, that didnât get an AFL game each weekend?
Surely not in an WAFL Reserves Team,as that was the basis of the 2 AFL Clubs moaning about their players not playing League and in position.
Claremont ditched West Coast after 1 year probably for a number of reasons, but ultimately for the promises WC never kept.
Like increased Membership through the Eaglesâ Membership base.
As low as 38 the increase in numbers,âŚ.
Unlike the Tigers Full West Coast Alignment, home grown players played with their original WAFL clubs when they werenât playing in the AFL
One year was enough for Claremont.
Never Again and for a Club like Claremont,it really wasnât necessary!
Best we get back to the Ins and Outs for â26.
Itâll take time to find out,but if one fella is playing in the SWNFL,âŚ.it could be a biggie!
The second full alignment, between 2014 to 2018,didnât lead to a lot of on field success, but with an average of 14 listed Weagles playing weekly,as well as the Eagles coaching staff provided with the overall package, led to a financial boon, and I believe weâve still got over a million in the bank today.
Any Doggy fans with mail on the availability of Rioli or Pickett for season 2026??
