Not sure if Riley Thilthorpe is from Subi? But what about Koltyn Tholstrup, Ben Miller , Dom Sheed, Liam Ryan , Liam Baker Luker Kentfield , Mitch Georgiades , Robbie Hansen Jnr , Neil Erasmus?
Obviously I haven’t finished so hold your horses. I have to post before it times out and I waste my time. When I think I’ve finished I’ll invite you all to tell me who I missed.
DD, for East Perth, you can add James Tunstill (Brisbane), Sam Powell-Pepper (Port Adelaide) and Reuben Ginbey (WCE).
Xavier Walsh (Port), Jordyn Baker (WCE) and Jedd Busslinger (Western Bulldogs) are listed players but are yet to crack a senior game.
Fantasy time. They all come back and play a season in the WAFL. Let’s assume every team is at full strength. What is the top 5 and who plays off in the grand final? Claremont you think and who? Swans and EF the favourites I think and my team is just outside the 5.
Great Topic DD.
Recon we could challenge the Allies,SA+ the Vics in State Football.
Should play a Carnival pre season.Every 4 years like we did in the past.
Good topic DD. I find it interesting Claremont has taken over from East Freo as the most prolific source of AFL players from WA. I wonder how they rate against other state league clubs in terms of numbers drafted. Maybe teams like Geelong Falcons or Oakleigh Chargers would have more but the Tiges must be up there.
Thanks BC I used AFL Guru I think they are called. White background with light blue tiny writing that showed their clubs of origin. Bad for the old eyes. Sandringham Dragons another football factory, Frankston another.
Swans not far off EF and your club doing well these days with 14. I remember when you were dominating the WAFL not many got drafted from Subi. Pretty low numbers from WP considering their consistency of success and had some good colts and reserves teams in recent years. Poor return from the Peel region. I think my club punches above it’s weight.
It’s no surprise to me Claremont dominate. Dominating the colts this year unbeaten while as I predicted my club’s colts have fallen back in the pack after making the GF last year.
Absent the afl, it would be a Claremont golden age. At least for key position players. EF would have midfield dominance with Cripps, Warner and yeo.
Imagine going to Claremont oval to watch EF v Claremont with those two teams running around. We could call it, club of origin round. I can see Carlton letting that happen, can’t you?
