WA vs Victoria

Thats just what i heard on Abc radio ysrda Grassy.

@gtrxuone I think took him from WP ressies.
But he is a cool customer.

Forget about playing the S.O.O.games post grand final, once the players start their Mad Mondays, they understandably want to switch off before they start their next Pre season, and playing this fixture as a major lead in game, into the season proper,is the only way to rejuvenate it as an annual fixture.

Just be wary about the Clubs complaining then.

A few too many injuries occur before the Season gets close, you can GUARANTEE they’ll SCREAM the place down, the AFL throws it’s hands up and the whole thing’s OFF!

And whilst it might be only one or 2 Clubs that kick up a stink,we know the AFL have acquiesced to the Minority, before on this!

I think clubs will probably complain either way,if players are carrying niggly post season injuries, the clubs will want to put them in cotton wool A.S.A.P.The critical factor in successfully reinvigorating the S.O.O.is the players investment into representing their respective states, and you’ve got as much chance getting injured in a normal pre season game,as you would in a State game.

I get that.

But the recovery period is longer,…

I think the major thing gleaned from yesterday’s match, was the very evident enthusiasm players from both teams had for the opportunity of representing their respective states, which is something you don’t want to lose, because the whole concept will fizzle out once and for all,if players lose interest.

Yeah nah Swans League side actually!
Played the last 9 games in the League side and won our Best First Year Player Trophy.
The bullshit peddled by clueless Vic commentators and clueless vfl supporters that he was picked straight out of WAFL Reserves is just that - bullshit.
He played in the WAFL Reserves GF as he had qualified but he played the majority of 2023 in our (SD) League team!

Well whoever said it,missed the boat with that Vote!

7 or Fox Footy?

To be fair BH…Humphries played 2 seasons of senior footy at SD…2022 and 2023…26 games reserves, and 9 games league…with 11 reserves games and 9 league games in 2023…so not sure majority of 2023 was playing SD league mate, so technically the clueless Vic folk, aren’t telling porkies, and nor too far off the mark TBH.

But hey the kid is a beauty…and another top notch SD product to play AFL footy. Geelong have definitely landed on their feet with the young fella…class act.

Freeze I am fully aware of Lawson’s career at Swans, saw all of his games League, Reserves & Colts, did you?
The commentary from all the braindead Vics who do zero research and the clueless lot who follow the vfl blindly is he was recruited from Swans WAFL Reserves which is a blatant lie.
As I have posted above (if you took any notice of), he played 9 League games in 2023 virtually all of the second half of the year and would have played more if he didnt have to go back to the Pilbara for a couple of weeks due to a family bereavement just when he had established a role at half back in the League team.
He was a standout in his 9 LEAGUE games and easily won our Best First Year Player/Rookie Of The Season!
As he had qualified for the Reserves finals he went back and played 3 Reserves finals & GF starring in the Premiership win as he did in the Colts in 2021.
There is never any mention from the clueless Vics that he actually played League footy and would have played more if not for the aforementioned passing and as a Leader of his family had to go back for a period of time to the NW of WA during 2023!

Yeah, loved him since day 1 at the cattery AMAN…cant believe he slipped through to the last pick. Such a HUGE advantage being adept on both side of the body.
We have till end of 2028…wonder if eags and dockers will go all out to get him

Maybe… the “bone head Vics” did get their research wrong..,BUT not as clueless as the WA teams who let him slip in the draft

Thats no surprise from those 2 laughing stocks, the Eagles bloke had no idea and wasnt even based in WA!

There had been an annoying Narrative in the past by AFL Centric Media, worse that it happened here, that completely Glossed over a player’s WAFL History.

That scenario had slightly improved, but it would still be helpful to a viewing audience Freeze,if the commentators got their facts and context right!

Agree B_H,gee some gems have slipped though the net here eh…

Will never happen!! full of “look at egos” in the media.

Sure Bruce Mc evenny was over the top with his commentating…BUT prob the last media bloke who did some research on players

Looked up his bio and he is shown in a Bogundean jumper. Thought he was WA’s best player just ahead of Hogan and Barrass.
