Tower lights gone, fencing gone, taking out 300mm of the oval surface, then replacing the turf and retic. Ray
I suspect you added a few shots together in panoramic view. Meant the image couldn’t be seen except when I went to edit your post. Also your message stretched across one line making half of it unreadable. I suggest you post each photo separately instead of panoramic view.
Heard from a reliable source that Kyle Stainsby is back at he Den. If so he will provide pace and skill out of the back half. Former club F & B. Certainly feeling like we can at least make a case for finals in 25 with the recruiting and the return of players from breaks and injury, hopefully we can keep our best 22 on the paddock each week so we can challenge the power clubs in Peelmantle, Claremont, EP & SD.
That would be good news SS. I do recall he was only travelling for a year so it could be on the money although not shown on our senior list as yet.
Stainsby would be a handy inclusion.
I hope we are still on the hunt for recruits, banking on having our best 22 available most of the time is optimistic, given the history of some of those players.
We look horribly weak and short in defence, aside from Lockyer, who unfortunately is one who comes into the above category of bad luck with injuries.
Midfied is slow and somewhat inconsistent in the ability to find targets, Giro was quick, but will surely lose a yard or two you would think, particularly his first year back. Plus take Kitch out, that in itself is a huge hole.
I see the club is looking for help with accommodation for incoming players, so anyone with a spare room or house to rent in the northern suburbs get onto the club
My info and I’ll stand corrected, is that Stains took the year off but ended up not travelling, missed the pre-season so went and played a bit at Kingsway (the subi retirement team). Fingers crossed he’s back as we need his sort of quality. Hopefully with the 2 new talls coming in, Eaton can transition to a key back, his '24 season was very good considering he had to compete with monsters every week, he would relish the opportunity to play in a key defensive role imho.
SS, I am still hurt for not mentioning EF as one of the 4 WAFL powerhouses you want Subi to aspire too…
While you still have that endless supply of youngsters coming through your zones and a flag winning ressies, you have lost a heap of A graders so could be that we are fighting your mob for that 5th spot … maybe?
Hope we are in the hunt for Ruscoe. Good defender, same size as Lockyer. Also can be swung into attack with good effect. Plus he already lives in Perth
sorry mate Trey looks like he’s agreed to sign with South Fremantle for 2025 onwards - he’s fucked WCE off
Good pick up I think mate
Update from the club’s website. Young May could be a good pickup and great to see a real ruckman arrive at the club. Jury is out on Cooley given recent history but hopefully settles in ok.
Archer May 200cm Key Forward from Richmond VFL. 20yrs
Archer will provide a big target down forward, look for his clean hands and mobility. Archer will compliment Ryan Borchet and Jack Mayo and hopefully give the opposition some sleepless nights.
Jedd Edwards 200cm Ruck from East Perth FC. 25yrs
Jedd has been understudy to Scott Jones at East Perth for several years and has proven his capability when asked to shoulder the league ruck duties in Jones’s absence. We are looking to Jedd for physicality and aggression in the contest and to give our midfield first use out of stoppage.
Jack Cooley 192cm Midfield/Utility from Perth FC. 23yrs
Jack joins us from Perth FC and will add depth to our midfield brigade. Jack has the ability to play inside/outside and being 192cm can play tall whilst having good speed to break the lines. Jacks played 52 League games and averaging 21 disposals.
Is anyone going to the AGM on 4th December at 6pm? Interested to hear what the club thinks of 2024 and how our financials are travelling.

What was the financial result this year BC?
I think we had a small loss in 2023 Baz, but no idea for this year. I can’t recall the last time we made a profit. Probably back when the seats deal at Subi Oval was in full swing but even that soured towards the end when we had to hand a big chunk of seats back to the WAFC as they weren’t making money.
Malachi Champion missed out on the draft as well. Two subi junior footballers did get drafted. Unfortunately from Claremont. They are really heartland kids for us. Like the real Johnny Leonard.
To rub salt into the wounds, Hamish ? Is the grandson of a subi great, who’s name escapes me atm.

The Champ will go to WCE in the rookie draft unfortunately JL.
BC you’d have to have a small question mark over Cooley? He’s had more clubs than Tiger Woods does he have the ticker to fit into the culture at Subiaco.
Considering all those great players have retired from Subi’s dominant years…not sure that same Subi culture exists TBH. Sokol and Kitchen were the last of it.
