Subi v Gummy’s Away

I see Subi has an unchanged line up. I don’t reckon that happened much last year. The reserves got towelled up last week so hopefully they improve and we have some putting pressure on the League players. As always some stupid positions, I don’t know why they bother. Maybe just list the players. E.g. Giro at CHF on Mad Jono.

What’s the go with Richie Bartlett,Frothy?thought he was quite a talent, but this week he seems to have been omitted from even the Ressies.

dunno? but anyone up at the North Perth game last year saw Ricky is a very mercurial footballer, with the ability to win games in half a quarter.

I reckon he’s probably up there with Sokol as the best set shot on goal in the side

I really hope he finds consistency and becomes a league regular; you want match winners

one of my favs

I gathered this week that due to the absence of a fence, Sharks sell ‘virtual tickets’ and if they win after the siren, you go in the draw to win 2oz gold!

Creative, ill give em that.

but a fence is a pretty well-tried technology?

unchanged line-ups good

The game prize for the Virtual tickets is a $1000 GG grocery voucher…..available to any fan who “purchases” a ticket….minimum cost $10…..normal entry fee I presume.

The Gold bullion prize apparently only happens if an EF wins the game after the siren….so I guess that’s one consolation for any opposition fan who’s number comes up, if their side gets pipped at the post by EF.

I will be interested to see how this goes…..not sure opposition fans are going to be bothered purchasing one, hopefully those EF fans that go get on board with it.

When do we play there,…just in case we trip up?!

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

you’d reckon they’d have one old cocky on the committee who could run a hot wire around the joint?

Last couple of years, I’d take the 2oz bar. This year I reckon I’ll jump the virtual fence and take the 4 premiership points.

Crikey how long has it been since you’ve been to a WAFL game? $20 last 2 or 3 years, $17 before that, $15 before that……

Great that the winning team sustained no injuries after last week’s tough game

I just assume most folk on here, being die hard WAFL fans, would all be the grey brigade concession card holders getting the cheapie seats……how much do those F1 seats cost at MRP?…..or they only for past Perth premiership players to sit on, like Mitsy and Chubby.

Fark me, paying $15 + to watch Perth play over the years week in week out….kudos to you lads…..you deserve a flag for sure this year.

The type of response I expected.

I see in today’s rag EFFC has been given permission by the council to put temporary fencing up for certain periods as a short term solution. It’s going to cost $8k to put it up and take down during the season when there’s no games. Better than nothing I guess.

Yeah you know me R&B….same old same old

Fence actually looks good mate…..apparently when EF has back to back home games it is allowed to stay up…..

Hope the Subi boys bought their virtual tickets….if so….someone could be in the draw for some gold…..another close encounter between these two sides….Liam Robinson can have mine if my ticket comes up

Did Schoey run onto the ground this week ??

The game was very even, but I thought it was one that got away given we had our noses in front with a couple of minutes to go. Some ordinary decision making in front of goals cost us and when Borchet missed the snap around the corner to ice the game, we didn’t man up as well as we should have and the sharks took full advantage to go coast to coast and kick the winning goal.

I don’t think Schoey will be too happy with some passages where our skill errors, fumbling and lack of precision cost us.

Clark, Giro, Robbins, Charlie Burke, Mayo all did well and although Savigni made some blues, he was influential otherwise along with Corbett down back.

It wasn’t a great game but very tough and physical.

A comment to EFFC, not having any seating for opposition supporters and EFFC non-members is very ordinary given the age demographic of WAFL supporters. There was a temporary grandstand last year, but that’s now gone and there’s only seating for EF members.

If you want to get people along to games, then the club should better cater to those who show up otherwise they’ll stop coming.

yeah 4 points left behind but for a modicum of composure in the last 5 mins.

centre bounces lack a bit of class. Schoey jr will rectify later, but need a bit of pace and directional change in there in the meantime.

3 giro

2 Robbins

1 Mayo

Clarke was brutish and the kid ruck was eye catching again giving their ruck 15kg and winning hit outs with athleticism

Savigni and Corbett were good. Mullane and Hibbins-Hargreaves solid.

if you want to oversimplify it, it came down to Sokol and Borchet being well held I reckon?

Think J Farone kicked 5 in the 2’s, where they treated sharks like witches hats, he might come in for Douglas, though id persist with the kid longer especially because he has the zig and zag we need; he should have kicked 2 in the last. Wes Waley doesn’t look far off a league game too - kicked a couple and gave a couple off on one leg and will add some agility.

I’d be inclined to keep the baby and the bathwater for another week: no change.

probably my least favourite wafl venue, banished to the blazing sun and beer in milkshake containers. They can stick their gold bar up their $%#&

Probably the Council’s doing with that temporary stand.

Happy to be corrected, but removing it doesn’t exactly do anyone any favours, including Home Supporters as well.

Agree about sokal and borchett being held being the difference.

The bar after the game was very good. Great coopers. Liked the family atmosphere but needed some shade and seating as boys have said.

Disappointing result. Not quite sure how that one slipped away as the boys tried hard. They will learn from it and bounce back.

Some shade would have been nice in the outer. Yes, we bought virtual raffle tickets to support East Freo. Fingers crossed wr’ll have a win there
